So clean! Love the set up. Ive been searching to try and find how to run the fuel lines to my Impala. This is the cleanest and best set up I have seen yet.

It would look better without fuel injectors, with a tbi of some sort, but im sure the individual injectors perform way better

I agree! But you’re right about how it would run. Overall happy with the look.

So, this has me thinking about doing this for a more modern truck. My biggest concern is heat soak though. I’ve always heard back and forth arguments over composite vs aluminum/iron intake manifolds on throttle body MPFI applications.

I wish I knew what all of that meant! I’m still learning. This was as basic of a build as you can get besides the top end stuff

@@SIMPLE.C10 well as far as I’m concerned you’re the teacher, because that setup looks great! I’m just curious how it runs, or if it runs any different. Basically, I’ve been told (never confirmed) that heat soak can happen in stop/go traffic, high load situations (towing), or in extreme temps due to the intake manifold being metallic and mounted directly to a source of constant elevated temperatures. The composite intakes are supposedly a little better at not transferring heat to the incoming are. So there’s my dilemma. I’ve kept my 2003 GMC Sierra in excellent shape, and I’ve upgraded the interior to a more comfortable setup. My old 5.3 is tired though, with 275,000 miles. So, I went out and got a junkyard 5.3, and had it bored/stroked out to a 383 stroker. I want to keep it as a daily driver, but the truck intake/throttle body just won’t cut it with the engine mods. Plus, since I’ve gone this far, I want to clean up the engine bay of all the wiring and ugliness that GM just doesn’t worry about when they sell a modern vehicle. Your setup is ideal, but I wonder how it would work for me with towing boats and taking the occasional trip to the beach where the air temps constantly hit 100+.

@@crank1422 gotcha. I haven’t even drove the truck besides at the car show. I see some major hp engines with this setup.
Been waiting for this video before I start ordering parts...thanks!! Have you driven with it all installed yet? How is it?

Where did you get your radiator? Any tips on connecting and plumbing into it?
@SIMPLE.C10

I got it from champion. It’s for a 63-66 c10. I just used a coat hanger to find the bend I needed and took that to the parts store to find one similar that I cut down.
Nice, looks good!

What/where did you use for pvc ? I see the capped pvc ports on the valve cover adapters. Where did you connect?
@SIMPLE.C10

There’s a connection on the back side of the intake manifold you see on the video for the sensor but besides that I don’t have power brakes so don’t need any other vacuum.
Do you have a part number for the hose fitting and 90 degree fitting you used for the map sensor? Thank you
@SIMPLE.C10

I don’t but you can take your map sensor to orielly and find the 90. There’s only two options.
Looking to run this set up in future but need help with a few questions. Do you have a MAF sensor? Do you have the following: IAC, MAP, TPS. Just trying to find out what i can run without and whats absolutely needed thanks in advance

In the video I explain about the MAF and MAP sensor and I wired them both up. I plan to do a full walk through of the swap in a video coming up.

Thank you a full walk thru would help out tremendously. Do you have a link for the MAP sensor didn't see it in description thanks again 👍🏼
A few months ago I seen this video and really liked the setup. I went ahead and bought the ignition coils that are on the description, however the pigtail on the harness are too small. Where did you get the harness to match the coils?
@SIMPLE.C10

My harness was from painless. You can choose what style ignition coils. You can buy an adapter though.

With this setup how would you get vacuum for the brake booster
@SIMPLE.C10

You would run a T hose fitting on where the map sensor is to the brake booster.
