So I hear Francis the first time because of his work with Chance and Cashmere Cat. I left it for a few weeks and now I'm going through and listening to everything. And I haven't even payed attention to the lyrics of this song yet, I just keep coming back for that instrumental. It is so moving to me. Nobody will probably ever read this but I had to leave a comment just in case...I see all the other comments about the video, which damn, it's cool, but this song, I love it

Suzanna Eadie it’s cause of prism it’s this effect that Francis actually created Kanye uses it a lot and so does Justin Vernon (bon iver) the effect when used in low tones makes him sound like a genesis song but it does more like 22 by bon iver he uses it and it sounds like 100000 people are singing

Francis' sound is a whole lifestyle. It was such a blessing to see him performing and dancing around at the Sunday Service I took my family to. I remember yelling "that's Franciiiiis!" from the front row floor seats as he nonchalantly vibed and few people around us understood who this beautiful genius was. I couldn't dislike this music if I tried. I feel so passionately moved by his choreographies and sometimes like thereof. Haha. As I struggle through some mental health things currently, it has been a lifeline. Truly.

Probably my favorite music video ever, if not in my top 3. The simplicity of the video lets it be interpreted in so many ways while in the city that I love and miss

a couple of years ago i discovered, the until then actively ignored, bon iver. it was the artwork for 22, a million that hit me and made me curious. the dirty, glitchy sound along with the art hit me, changed my reception of music. it didn’t take long until i discovered u and this very special song. someone mentioned phil collins in the comments and that is exactly what i felt. back in the days, when i discovered u, i worked as a bartender and it always felt that i was the last person in the city who was awake. so i always walked home on the streets and listened to epic songs of lonely summer nights: the streets - blinded by the lights, phil collins - in the air tonight, kavinsky - nightcall, college & electric youth - a real hero, just to name the four most important. after i listen to your song for about 10 seconds i knew it would be one of my favorite songs of all time. my intuition didn’t disappoint me and even after all those years your song really hits me deep. i still can’t stop listening. even spotify said i’m crazy about you. see her out was two years in a row my most listened song and is part of every year’s top 10. thank you! thank you for your amazing art!

With this, and the Friends video, I think you've honestly perfected two extremely "simple" ideas for videos to an art. The surprises that are embedded in them are just so much fun. Much love for your work right now!!
