I still remember where I was the first time I heard this song. I had to pull over. This song is one of the most beautiful ever written. It captures the meaning of Advent more than anything I’ve ever read or heard outside of scripture.

This is the first time I'm hearing this song and it has touched me. It word for word was exactly what I cried to our Lord about this morning.

"I'll hold you in the beginning. You will hold me in the end." Crying at how bittersweet that lyric is. This whole song has me in tears.

I don't think it's bittersweet at all. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. She held the Savior of this world as a child, He was her son but also God. No one else can ever say that. In the end doesn't mean in her old age. In means at the end of all things, when Christ returns and we are all with Him, He'll be holding all of us. The little child she held and nurtured as an infant, will wrap her in His arms in the fullness of God in heaven. Heaven will be Heaven for all of us, but only Mary will have that experience.

My grandma wants me to sing something at my church's Christmas Eve candlelight service. I think I'm going to sing this :)

I cry too it touch me too . I am a Jewish mom of 6 young children who believe in the Messiah Jesus and my husband left us he doesn't believe but since then he died without Messiah. My children and I are still learning more . I'm sad and feel empty. I feel nothing but when I listened to this song. I can't stop myself from crying because I can feel the love of God to me. I'm still awake and overthinking everything. I don't even know the purpose of my life. I'm a shy person so, I don't usually talk to other people about my feelings. That's why I'm happy because I found this song and it helps me to express myself by sharing how I felt.

Jesus loves you SO much! Pray for Him to show you His purpose for your life. Sometimes the purpose is for you to help others, right place at the right time. Open the door, pick up something someone dropped, ask if you can help. Something small you do may be huge to someone else. If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours. Don't stop praying.

The words of this song did something to my heart. How did I not hear it before last Friday? "Be born in me Trembling heart, some how I believe, that you chose me, " "Make my heart Your Bethlehem: The only thing my heart can offer is a vacancy, I am willing, I am Yours". This song is beautiful and speaks to each one of us -- that we allow Jesus to be Born into Our Hearts

I used to sing this ENTIRE song when I was three...Even to this day now I get the meaning of this song, My mom and I are very big Christans and we would always believe in our lord. Thank You. This goes to Mary, Joseph, And of course Jesus himself 😭❤️. I will always start to cry or get emotional when I hear this song. One thing to know, You don’t have to be a Christian to listen to these kinds of songs. Micha Ouwens, yes, God has always been in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as the Trinity. They have always existed. But when Mary said "yes" at the Annunciation (a specific point in history), the Son became flesh in her womb. the Son, Jesus Christ, received his 100% humanity from Mary. He still keeps His 100% divinity. The reason we can say Mary is the mother of GOD is b/c Jesus is still God and the Trinity cannot be separated.

Not to mention that Mary risked her marriage to Joseph and her life (unwedded girls who got pregnant were stoned - I'm still not sure how Mary escaped it) by agreeing to give birth to Jesus.

Words can't describe how beautiful and haunting this song is and the fact that it actually happened is simply incredible. Hopefully everyone can follow Mary's example when God asks us to do difficult things for the glory of His kingdom. Peace and blessings!

I did this song at a dance recital 5 years ago, and although it wasn't a solo, I was tearing up while dancing! So me and my cousin did this song again on Thanksgiving last year in 2018, and I saw almost all the women had tears in their eyes! And even though it wasn't a professional performance with my cousin, it felt like it. She was Mary, I was Joseph, and my other cousin was an Angel. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! Thank you Jesus for coming! It's so bizarre, I was transporting my mom's ashes to my house, I was driving and this song came on, I know my mom is with Jesus , she was murdered on 2002, she was seeking God and we were both seeking God together at the time she passed, I miss her so bad, but I know she safe in my Lord's arms right now

This made me cry

This song was a part of the christmas program at my church tonight. The woman who sang it was spectacular. I was moved to tears.
