I’m a fan of both teams, but really impressed that Ireland has been doing so well over the past year. France is a talented team and often attempt to control the press and speed of the game. I would definitely give IRELAND’s goalkeeper the MVP, as she made many great saves, so the score remained 1-0. It would be great to see France and Ireland play against Spain and England. Congrats to both teams - great footie! Looking forward to watching the full match. Cheers🇨🇦

That's a pretty good performance from newly promoted Ireland against the no 3 in the world and also with 3 debutants. Admittedly they basically had to defend for 90 minutes but it's all part of the learning curve.☘🇮🇪💚

They finished top of their Div B group in the NL. And got promoted to Div A. They will probably take ( relegated ) Scotlands place in their group. . So should have NL , Belgium , and England. This is just a forerunner of what they will face next ... Sept ? Side note. All the teams who finished second in Div B , had play off games against the third placed teams in Div A. In the England / Netherlands group , Belgium ( Div A 3rd ) , played runners up ( Div B ) Hungary. Belgium won fairly easily. In fact , in all the play off games between Div A and B , and Div B and C , no team won promotion. The Divisions stayed as they were. Except the automatic promotion / relegation. Interesting.

Very close teams People can argue about recent performances or a single face off but thats inadequate, it ebbs and flows all the time. In my opinion england and sweden edge the other 3 by a whisker
