The Royal Opera of Versailles' 10-city tour in China served as a boost to Sino-French relations. How well received were the opera performances among Chinese audiences, and what did the performances mean for French opera artists? How close can music bring China and France together? From April 1 to 17, the concert toured 10 Chinese cities, from Beijing to Chengdu. The concert was in celebration of the 60th anniversary of China-French relations but, more importantly, to honor the masses of people who are the backbone of this relationship.
