​@@eyesoddin the ukt, we wake them up at 6 in the morning of the court appearance, and they are not allowed a phone call.... however, solicitors are told in advance ( obviously) and they can inform others of the date and time. It wouldn't surprise me if the prisoner had a mobile phone up his arse too

One thing we already know, eventhough that's not officially reported: the attack was (most likely) not done by white male Caucasians. If THAT was the case, the report would have mentioned that already. It is a known fact that government is shying away from reporting the descriptions if the asailants appear to be non-Caucasian. And in terms of likelyhood, two facts are deciding here. First, the inmate's background. After all: "tell me who you are and I'll tell you who your friends are". And second: it is a fact (supported by statistics) that certain demograhics are "overrepresented" in the prison population. This in itself is no guarantee but it does point out in which direction one should look first.
