It is not because you are African that you can immigrate to any country you want in Africa, same in Europe, Americas... Morocco, Senegal, South Africa...have border control. I am British and European, I would not be able to go to another European country and stay there. Africa is a Continent, so there should be no expectation of a citizen of one of the African countries, deciding to stay in another African country without permission to be there.

Truth is the people of Mayotte repeatedly voted to remain part of the French Republic, thus of the EU. They are now thriving in comparison with their neighbors. Why people from the other islands, without permission, now want to move to Mayotte in droves? Maybe the rest of the Comores should regret their past choice?
