Actually, you would be amazed by how easy it is. Not knowing about all the stuff that other people are absorbed by actually can improve the quality of one's participation in the world. Not everything that can be consumed actually contains much nutritious value. Fran indulges in the highly nutritious stuff.

I enjoyed the show and her personality very much but she is absolutely not down to earth, rather a cloudcookolander.
Jimmy Fallon is such a bad host! He's so uncomfortable and just repeats everything shes saying, its almost like fran is interviewing him.

I hear so many people judge Fallon and, fair enough everyone's entitled to their opinion. One thing I have to say about Fallon tho is that, you can tell he really loves his guests. He can be impatient sometimes but, compared to say Kimmel but, I don't mind but can come across as a bit off sometimes

JF knows his audience. He attracts mouth-breathers and young people. He feels the need to ingratiate himself to his audience by playing dumb. We all have our preferences, but I choose not to sit down with a spastic teenager.

I love her! I first started seeing her on David Letterman in the 80s and she has hypnotized me ever since. Brilliant!
The way she talks and carries herself actually reminds me a lot of Martin Scorsese.

The Netflix series “Pretend it’s a City” directed by Martin Scorsese is astoundingly poignant and makes my heart beat a little faster on NYC memories, stories and Fran Lebowitz as wonderful as ever.❤️ Also those jazz scenes were incredible.
I wish people knew about opera singers, it’s a huge part of New York’s history!

I love Fran and cannot wait for this show. She is a realist and a genius.
She was just who she is. Had Jimmy in a fix. Loved her straight deadpan answers!!!!

@@RichardFallstich you must have metropolitan life and social studies. she wrote a small kid's book too , published in 1994 but nothing since. she's admitted to having a severe case of writer's block. I think she enjoys public speaking more anyway and there's even a movie about it.

Although maybe not prolific, she is definitely a writer. And personally, I could listen to her talk all day. She is inteligent, insightful and a great wit.
The best part is when Jimmy lets the air out of the room by over-explaining every word that comes out of Fran's mouth. Without his explanations, this would be like a 30 second clip.

She is fabulous!! A bold,, brilliant,, bright,, pink flamingo in a world full of gray pigeons.... She sees everything so clearly and has the guts & gumption to call it like it is in the funniest of ways. Total ADMIRATION ❤

Many wouldn't know who she is without people like him,so don't be that cynical. He has an audience and target ,he knows he's not qualified to act like he is, unlike many other american comedians and that's a good thing about him. His manners may be uncouth but he has shown to be a decent soul many times, and if you don't see it ,it's because you think you are so refined when in reality you, are the actual superficial baitch of the play.

Wow. Her and Jesse would make a really nice pairing (she'd be natural as his mom or something in a role. They're both sharp, a bit anxious and have that quick wit about them)

Fran has been on his show before so she obviously tolerates him. Her recent interview with Seth Meyers was very good. The SNL spoof of Fran and Martin Scorsese was the best laugh in years on that show. (Both Jan. 2021.)
Looking at them makes me feel like I'm in the middle of the space/time continuum and I'm seeing that Jesse Eisenberg has grown up to be Fran Leibowitz.
