Be still my beating heart! This was my first car in ‘68. Absolutely identical. I took the 283 out and put a 327 in her. Converted it to a four speed with the Hurst shifter. Dual exhausts with glass packs. I was 16 so I thought they sounded killer. So good to see her again...thank you!
Just acquired a white 63 factory SS a lot like this one. This provides a good example for me to shoot for....I love all of these old Impalas!
My dad had the same Impala, same exterior color, but, red cloth & vinyl interior. It was a 2door, but non S.S. 327-4bbl and powerglide. That puppy NEVER let us down. Pretty fast too. Dual rear antennas. No a/c. Then he traded it for a 65 Buick Riviera GS. Like my dad said, with all the tools. He NEVER forgot his 1st new car, the Chevy.
Super clean..!!
Súper beautiful car..extremely beautiful piece of artwork on this.
We had one of these and kept it till about 1983.
Very reliable..i wish in had the funds..this car was brought back..i would drive it from coast to coast parts are available for drive train any where in the USA..nice job..im 57 seen my share of these.. I say this cause some one ask is it reliable...put it this way I had the same 283 engine in a 1970 Nova in Chicago it seen 3 blizzards also 10 below zero with the wind chill of 20 below and that engine would not stop ..you kept it in correct order with maintance and that car would give you 200k miles with out any serious issue if it's driven the way it was meant to be driven.. It's not a lambo so one drives this car like a saint because when you treat this car right when u need it the most it will be there for you to respond. Great frame off..
IMO the 63’ Impala is the nicest. Although my uncle had same car color combination and engine might have been 327 three on the tree and it was very sharp. Ha had it new and drove it ten years before selling it.
I had a '63 SS exactly like this, same interior and exterior color. Disappointed you didn't have the SS hubcaps on it. I always thought they were sharp. Nice car. Mine had a 327.
I was blessed to own a 63 ss Impala Roman red black interior 327 4 barrel dual exhaust factory tachometer and factory air conditioning
I had one like this one in 68 i so wish i could buy this one.
Beautiful car would love a silver 63 4 speed ss
Who cares about a few little dings what a beautiful car
Like to have seen this Nice 63 SS presented with stock caps and whitewalls
This ALSO was my first car in '68. Still long for another one. Only bad thing.... it was a total rust bucket. My father got it used in '64 with only 7,000 miles on it. By '65 had rust at the front fender panels & read quarter panels. Could never figure that out seeing that Chevy bragged about self cleaning rocker panels etc. By '72 I had replaced both doors & fenders, pop riveted both rear panels and the rest of the car had more bondo on it than metal. If the brakes ever failed you could just press your feet down through the front floorboards ala Fred Flintstone to stop the car .
My dad had a 63 parked in a garage its whole life. Had 70,000 miles. He's 91. My wife borrowed it for a day, it snowed and slid into oncoming truck and totaled it a month ago. She walked away and we were all sick. He had minimum insurance. I would love to buy this one.

My most favourite car.impala 63 ss........22/6/21
I'd love your video I'd remember these cars I'd was three years old. I'v the diagram of the 1963 Chevy impala if anyone need it
Got that same car but it needs a lot of restoration
My dad had a 63 impala as a small boy i remember calling it the reindeer car i thought the impala badge was a reindeer
I wonder why the trunk was blocked out ? ... 63 Impala ss owner
But the SS Hub Caps would’ve made the right touch, i owned one but blue 327 while stationed back in Ft Lewis Wash. in 1971, wished that i had kept it.
I don't want a 63 I want a 1964 Chevy Impala like I used to have
Thought the SS had a standard tac.

You could mix n match options back then. You could order an Impala SS in '63 and get a 3 on the tree w a straight 6 for instance. I think the only thing you Had to take w the SS package was the SS Emblems n the SS Chrome on the side chrome strip, the rear trunk lid n the dash panel area.
If only i had one 😔
Just curious, if its a "Frame Off" rebuild, then does it still qualify as a classic car? Can this be used as a daily use car? How is reliability?

it is still a classic, reliability is better as it has been gone through completely. Yes you can drive it every day.

Wow!
23 k would not begin to cover the cost of a total body off
Love the car ,but thanks daddy for pulling the 283 and putting the 327 in , ,I could then out run Tony home everyday thanks daddy
Blown apart and put back together is where he lost me. Who would want a car that was blown apart? The great tires for summer was also disappointing because I like to also drive in the spring.
Idk why I thought all SSs were manual 😐 🤔
How much is it
