hey, i noticed a flower grow animation at the start 0:30. What would be the best way to recreate that and if possible can you redirect me to a tutorial/article etc to learn more about it ? it looked very smooth..

That looks like stroke animated with trim path. About pinned leaves - you can do it using built in script "Nulls from path" in AE. Then link these leaves to nulls.

Would love to do a tutorial over it. As @fix pointed out below, it's probably an animated stroke path that's trimmed. With the latest versions of AE, you can now create tapered strokes too, and Adobe did a quick breakdown on how you can use tapered strokes to create leaves. Then it's just a matter of linking them to the main vine stroke.
