    @@LevelUpRN hi please how do we elevate these fractures? i saw a question elevate for 30 mins and then rest for 1hr. elevate for 3hrs and then rest for i hr , elevate for 2hrs and then rest for 30 mins...why do they ask such questions? How do we elevate the cast as per care?

    Our textbook and different sources are very split on the ice and elevation with compartment syndrome. Most sources say yes for ice to reduce swelling

    Most reviewers recommend elevation of extremity post-op to reduce swelling. Heart level before casting to avoid/reduce chances of ischemia.
