@@artisan2906 Ironic, _The Rhesus Chart_ was actually my first read in the series; I was on something of a literary vampire craze, needed something to move onto after _Bram Stoker's Dracula_ and _The Chronicles of Vladimir Todd_ and found it after looking up blood sucker themes in the library database. I wasn't hot on it at the time because it didn't conform to my supernatural sentiments--it's like reading a fantasy novel while the author's trying to beat you over the head with the notion that "there's no such thing as magic" all while showing wizards doing cool sh|t--but, after moving on from vampires and classical Gothic to Lovecraft, I absolutely came to love it but, I wax self-absorbed and digress. _I_ never got the impression that Charles Stross was giving up on them but, I definitely felt he might be painting himself into a corner with the NIGHTMARE CASE GREEN eventuality. Every book successively hypes up the end of the world and I'm just left there after the ending of each book thinking, _"It'll either be he pulls it off and makes it one of the most cosmically spectacular climaxes in weird fiction or he's going to cop out a lame finale and leave us disappointed."*_ Given that I haven't moved on from _The Annihilation Score,_ I'm still in limbo as to how all that turns out but, I'm glad you've seemed to enjoy the books so far.

I feel like the monster needs some more work to better fit into the environment, it kinda just looks like a big smooth squid. Maybe some sort of visual processing could make it look more like it's made from the same fractal stuff. Or the monster could be mechanical like the ship and refueling-things which already look out of place in the fractal world, but in a good ominous way rather than just being something that's less scary than the very walls.

The fractal colors could use a bit of work, and maybe some more variation to the form. The monsters too. Might be cool to make them look like they're made of some kind of multidimensional material... Like you could use the geometry of the squid to filter a fractal, so that it shifts through fractal space (Fractal renderer on the skin shader, so there's a fractal where the squid is, but not outside of the squid) ... And make the fractal space follow the position of the squid... that might be pretty cool looking Otherwise, the idea is really neat. Would love to see some different environments, some horrifying, some more beautiful, some just unusual or exotic.

This is so terrifying, I love it. The idea that you craft floats through the space itself, not on any one liquid. After all, liquid usually has a 3D plane to rest on. would be cool if the enemies were fractalized as well (as if moving through different dimensional space) as they approached they would become more 3d as they lock onto your dimension. Also be cool if stationary objects like what the ship connects to are fractalized depending on age like frost on a tree.

dude i have to say out of the random boring indie games that just resemble each other and don't do anything that interesting i find this one to be my Favorites. the atmosphere, the vibe, the setting. just the concept of this game. its so good, never seen something quite like this and i wish you good luck with the next thing you do! would love a full game, i think this would do very well in the sea of many horror/atmospheric games.
