Happened to me too! Damn this is good, very Insomnium on the melodies at first listen.

Melodic Death Metal once was fresh and new. Over the years this genre got a more and more evil smell. Hats off to Fractal Gates! You created something great and vivid!

This album is nothing short of incredible! Everything about it, the sound, the themes, the art, and production. Definitely one of the best albums I've heard over the last couple of years.

I check out a lot of Melo-death bands and a lot of them don't live up to the specific sounds I enjoy, which are Omnium Gatherum, Solution .45, Insomnium, Dark Tranquility. Then I landed on this one. Holy shit dudes and dudettes. These guys got it right.

For me it´s a masterpiece. Shame on my head that I missed the first 2 longplayers. Melodies, heavy, dark and some melancholy. One of my Melo-Death faves with some influences from Gothic-Death...although the themes has huge differences. Ordered all 3 longplayers from Fractal Gates right now. \m/

It sounds to me like if someone took type o negative guitar pedals, and used them for melodic death metal...which makes a crushing result!

countless skies Rhythm is good but their solos are weak.. not easy to be as skillful as Markus Vanhalla (Lead guitarist Imsonium & Omnium Gatherum)
