the wood is beautiful. As an adult gamer this pleases me more than the screamy aggressive cases designs made for a teen generation.
I love Leo's reviews. No nonsense reviews with an even delivery. Wishing all at Kitguru happy holidays
I always look forward to your reviews, Leo! Keep up the good work!
Honestly, I love the accessory fan bracket ala NR200P. Gives a lot of space for custom water cooling options. Would love to see that more often with a more permeable mesh side.
I'm new to this channel, but Leo is now my favorite case reviewer.
I have a Fractal Design Define 7 XL. I was surprised by the build quality, material quality, flexibility, all while looking great. Seeing this review reminded me how pleased I was with their other products. "Brand loyalty" usually hurts the consumer, but for now, I'm a Fractal Design fan!

Nothing wrong with a little brand loyalty as long as it's not blind fanboyism. Don't let it make you choose an inferior product, but check their products out and maybe tip the scales if it's a tossup.

That black with dark wood is GORGEOUS!!
Nice review and great looking case. I currently have the Meshify 2 and I'm very pleased with the design, cooling, and build space!
Amazing Review! The combined HDD drive mounts are very clever utilisation of the space!

I’ve got wood myself. Nice case. Wish the panel gaps weren’t so big on the Chalk version. I like your build / review - it actually covers the details of the case in a very useful way.
A leo review - awesome, been a while !
Little talking, much information. Instant sub.
Nice one, thank you! Hopefully there will be a "Nano"-Version under 35cm tall. I love this wooden front... 🥰
Thanks for the review, very cool looking case. It's expensive but I cannot resist the appearance.
I bet this case would outflow their Torrent case. The option to have side panel mounted fans is fantastic. Would be even better if you they offer that bracket separately so you could grab another and add even more fans
I’m in love with Leo’s happy face…😂

I've purchased this case yesterday. So after just seeing this review I'm relieved Leo approved it lol.
well, significant kudos to Fractal for bringing joy to Leo. I'm rather behind the times with my Meshify and Torrent compacts but Fractal have my endorsement any day of the week.
My Torrent case is now on borrowed time. Want that sweet sweet Charcoal and walnut case!
Thats an interesting looking case in the thumbnail - thanks Leo - awesome to see some companies trying new materials. have we ever had wood in a case before?

I wish there was an option to choose dark or light wood option regarding of the case colour. I would love dark walnut with brass elements on a white case.
much loves Leo! and many blessings!
thats a pretty front end - unusual - seems quite traditional inside. interesting idea
Brilliant review. Thanks.
Best review ever hands down
I ove the mesh version in white, looks really classy!
Bought one and built in it. It's awesome.
I purchased the black mesh for my daughter's PC, it's the decorative wood. I'm installing an EK 360 AIO. Side fans are actually pretty good to help keep the temperatures stable for long gaming sessions.
@DJaquithFL

.. Personally, I would prefer these cases not include any fans. I never use them and always add my own.
I wanted to see PC case with optional side fan mount instead of tempered glass. It can affect the temperatures in such a good way if executed correctly.
the black mesh version looks really smooth
Of all KZreadr even nexus léo is the only one that makes me want to build because of the case
Looks like the wood of the 70s is making a comeback.
I just got this case in black and love it. The thermals from my 3060 GPU went from 75c in the nzxt h510, to max 67c in this new case.
I F-ing love Fractal cases, fell in love since Mesify.
Really like this reviewer, thanks for the video
Nice to see a cheerful Leo.
My drive tray hack is to mount a 2.5 inch drive on the underside of a tray, leaving the top side of the tray for a 3.5 inch drive.
Love it! Finally one my girl supports in the living room.
Nice case for a change. still like my open case, but for a customer it looks quality.
I have Cubeor Kanto wooden case. (White, Cognac and Rev.1). Is very beautiful. If it weren't for the Cubeor cases, then I would have gotten this.
The temps feel a bit high to me, considering the ambient temperature and the good airflow of the case. I don't have access to the specific parts so perhaps that's an average temp for those two (GPU/CPU), but I don't know, they don't feel good. Thanks for the video, good looking case.
Great looking case and finally(!) a side panel that allows air flow! However, no air flow from the bottom kills this case for me. Very sad.
Good walkthrough, but whoever's doing your filming/editing needs to remember white lights on white stuff makes for almost over-exposed areas. Sadly couldn't see some details in the white sections.
I can't find anything on this. Might be a stupid question, but can you use the thicker 30mm fan on the front of this case? Will the extra 5mm thickness block you from putting the mesh and front panel on?
I love Fractal cases. Just picked this one up.

Let us know how you get on 👍🏻
To the point and spot on. Would of liked a bit more info on the fan hub though
So you said it can fit the Corsair shift PSUs? Do you think it could fit 6x2.5 ssds, put on top of each other with double taped thermal pads in the place of the 2x3 6 brackets? Also do you think i can fit the MSI liqued 4090 with 4xphanteks t30 fans 2 on both sides, and with lower clearance ram, 41.2 Kingston ddr5 6000mhz cl32 64gbx2 128gb ram? And also can i fit 3x phaanteks t30 30mm fans in the front instead of the factory 25mm thick fans? May plan is to put a 360 38mm thick rad behind it with also 3x 120 phaanteks t30 30mm fans behind it. Because of the liqued i should have clearance issue , i think though as i checked the liqued also around 30 centimeters long so I don't know , but it looks to have a huge cutout in the front for extra thick aios with fans at the PSU side. What do you think? Please help 😅😊❤
Need an matx/itx version of this
It looks amazing!
I would absolutely buy a replacement front for my Torrent with wood if offered at a reasonable price.
Hope they make a compact matx/itx version. If so I could move the case to prominent position on the desk rather than hiding my black box inside a cabinet under the desk.
I like it too - although I would like to see the Charcoal version with Glass....
We love uncle Leo🙏🏽❤️
What do you mean by saying that if you want to use 360 AiO and PSU, you can't use the HDD/SSD cage? I have just double checked it and you can clearly use the HDD/SSD cage if you put one of them in the B slot.
Great review Leo. With regards to the fan hub, would reusing the hub from the Torrent really have saved them that much? Maybe I missed it but does the additional fan mount take 120mm fans or 140mm fans? Unfortunately KZread's compression algorithm really doesn't like the white mesh or the wood front. It's particularly evident in the first couple of minutes and actually quite painful to watch, both at 1080p and at 4k.
@KitGuruTech
Жыл бұрын
The side bracket included with Mesh models can take 2x 120mm or 2x 140mm. The cost saving on the fan hub would probably be cents rather than dollars however every little helps which is why we usually get 3-pin fans, rather than PWM.

Thank you for sharing. Just wonder nowadays the case does not have a restart button? Then how we forcefully restart the pc?
Does the gigabitw RTX 4080 eagle OC fit in the case with front fans?

6:30. Side fans are necessary, because they will help achieve positive pressure inside the case and keep dust out, plus cool the gpu, of course.
@KitGuruTech
Жыл бұрын
The GPU temp seems fine - no doubt extra fans would make a difference but they are hardly necessary Leo
@constantinosschinas4503
Жыл бұрын
@@KitGuruTech Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering, especially for 4080s that fit more snugly, preventing airflow. And for dust, of course. Hardware Canucks did test with one 140mm side fan and gpu temps seem a bit higher (though they added that 80mm exhaust fan too, which must have messed with airflow).
@tkimaginestudio
Жыл бұрын
@@constantinosschinas4503 As far as I'm concerned, a side fan should exhaust the hot air from the GPU to the side. Fresh air for the GPU should come from the bottom. One can achieve positive air pressure with the front fans and bottom fans. Maybe one of these days a case manufacturer will look at the air flow pattern of most GPUs and accommodate it with a case design. A mesh side panel is a great step forward but I believe bottom air flow is essential for quiet and cool GPU operation.
I am very much interested in this case , so i al watching al the videos there are ... I am nearing an age i can't be bothered anymore with "rgb everything" and just want something classy that maches my Ikea furniture 😂 Thx for the video! Maybe one remark , shouldn't the radiator be mounted the other way around ? The end tank with the tubing should always be on the bottom with a front mount , to my knowledge. When you mount it with the tubing on top , when there is air in the system , al the air will travel to the top , in the best case this wil lead to a noisy pump that wears quicker , and the worst case this wil stop the flow of liquid . All aio accumulate air ovzr their lifespan ...
oh i like that. i like that a lot. wonder if i can get both my CPU's 360 CLC AND my GPU's 240 CLC in there. I've had 2 cases saying they could, but they in fact, could not.
Thanks. Is usb c inside header straight or angled plug ? Think I mgiht get the TG version. Looks a bit sleeker
@KitGuruTech
Жыл бұрын
The USB-C is straight. Not sure I have ever seen an angled plug inside a case.
I have a question... Is this case compatible with a 360mm radiator, like the Corsair iCUE H150i RGB Elite 360mm? I'm thinking of buying both but the radiator full lenght is 397mm so I'm not sure it fits...
Just started - Leo happy?! Yay!

It's a pain but you can blame KZread's compression. The alternative is that the dark interior is either black or way brighter than it should be. Leo

Wendel from Level1Techs discovered that a 240 AIO will fit in the fan accessory bracket along with a 240/280 AIO in the front… ala watercooled GPU plus AIO CPU cooler all in the one mid ATX case👍🏼👍🏼. It requires some finagling but can be done without as much trouble as you might think.

There's a story there; I used that pump in my own PC for a time and ran into problems as the alarm sounded when the PC was closed down (something to do with USB stand by power detection) i.e. the alarm detected the flow rate was too low BECAUSE THE PC WAS TURNED OFF. I swapped out the pump and haven't looked at it again, but really should. Leo
A bit disappointed 2 side 140mm fans placed at the bottom where not tested, to see whether GPU temps would drop :)

Curious: is there ever a case (no pun intended) where you can have both nearly silent noise levels and good airflow for a computer case like this?

Will a 4090 / 4080 graphics card be usable in this case?

Answered the same question previously; probably yes with fans in front and probably no with a cooler in front.
If this case was a little longer it would be much better. Right now with the giant graphics cards you cannot fit them in. Especially if you also have a radiator in the front.
Aio gpu cooling on the sidepanel could work well with aio cooling on the top for cpu.

Is the mesh metal or textile?
It is a pitty that this very nice case cannot(?) fit 4080s with the side fans at the lower slot. It would be really nice cooling solution. Maybe Fractal will make an xl version, a bit taller for 3x140mm, plus wider.

Yes, and add air flow from the bottom, please. A side-mounted power supply would be ideal, but any type of bottom air flow would be better than none.
