As someone who has practiced New Age and was oppressed by it, I know the St Michael prayer is a great defense against Satan. Also always ask Jesus and Mary and St Michael to protect you and your family. I will add here that the Rosary is powerful in protecting one against all the snares of evil, my life has changed exponentially since I began saying it. It’s truly miraculous.

@@roxannetomlin3113 a more accurate translation rather than it is finished is "it is consummated" as in he gave his body to his bride, the Church - the body we eat at Mass, as the Jews used to eat the Passover Lamb to enter into the covenant. He also said it right after drinking the 4th cup of wine which he said he wouldn't drink until the kingdom and died right after drinking it and saying "it is consummated." The 4th cup of wine completes the Passover sacrifice in Judaism, once again showing that he was the perfect Lamb of God for the new covenant, and as the Lamb of the Passover we must eat his flesh. Look into Scott Hahn's talks on the 4th cup.

My son was angry with me for talking to him about God and constantly interrupting when I finally realized something…he wasn’t angry with me. He was angry with God. He was also feeling the Holy Spirit working on him, and on some deep level knew I was right. I told him this. It shut him up instantly. Though he went away in silence, he apologized later. He has asked to know more since then as well.

Father Thomas made a point at 6:40 that deserves emphasis: Many people today are literally so well educated that they are dumb. By this statement, I mean that they have such certitude in themselves that they dismiss what God has given them. I myself was guilty of this when I was MUCH younger. I found my way back to God, but in my area that seems to make me an exception.

Please provide objective evidence for your accusation. Fact is, you can not find any. 1-4% of Priests have not remained faithful to their vow of celibacy. .04% have abused prepubescent children (pedophile), while the rest include post pubescent teens to adults, for which nearly all accusations predate 2001, & the vast majority are from the 60’s-70’s. One is far safer, child, teen, adult in anything run by the Church than in any other organization- secular clubs/ sports, Public schools, universities, etc, and while Protestant groups are also safer than secular, one is actually slightly safer still in anything Catholic. So 4% of Priests (highest given is 7% by very biased sources) have abused, while 30+% in the secular, and 8-10% of Protestant ministers (which could be higher, but due to how fragmented Protestant Churches are, and how many do not report publicly, it is hard to pinpoint an exact %; but it is definitely less than the secular. I am unsure what your belief stance is, but by your unrighteous judgement, hatred, vitriol, bigotry, it doesn’t appear to be any Christian tradition.. Himble yourself, work upon your own sins and salvation in fear & trembling, and seek genuine Truth, which is found in God.

Great talk! I admit, in my younger days before kids, I went to fortune tellers, palm readers, tarot card, crystal ball, astrology, etc. I even hired a fortune teller for a big party that I had. I acted like I thought it was fun and harmless and thought it made me seem interesting. But, honestly, it scared me. I'd have bad dreams and become very insecure after the readings. My daughter is interested in ouija boards. I won't allow one in my house, but she and her friends made one out of cardboard. I had a hard time explaining to her how dangerous ouija boards are. I really appreciate Father's frankness when he explained that these activities open doors to Satan.

there are several good movies - but the movie Possessed (2000 film) starring Timothy Dalton is very good. It was inspired by the true event of possession of Roland Doe whose aunt was terminally ill and told her nephew to contact her with a ouija board after she passed away. He did and eventually became possessed through it. It's a good movie as it is inspired by true events and what happens when going down that road so to speak.

I had a Baptist friend, she had a relationship with Christ from the time she was a child when she invited Him into her life. When we were housemates, as in a platonic relationship. She had her bible with her always. Though I was not practicing my faith actively I had never rejected the tenants of the faith. My friend had known many Catholic and even was close friends with two Jesuits. One day she said what I had heard before that Catholics did not know the Bible well. I told about the Liturgy, she had been to Mass at times with friends and heard the readings and could tell where they came from. But she was surprised when I told her that we started the year and the liturgy followed the Bible, mostly the New Testament but also with a reading from the Old Testament. And as a child I went to Catholic school and during Lent went to Mass each day so I had a good working knowledge of the Bible. We talked about religion often, she got CA and I was lucky enough to be able to care for her at home. Before she got to the end someone asked her if they could do anything for her. We were lucky that he was Catholic, when she said that she wanted to become Catholic. She had been baptized as a child so we had a priest com in, spent some time with her , heard her confession and gave her Communion a few weeks before she passed. I had not asked her earlier because I did not want to pressure her. You talk about the Holy Spirit working, well He sure did his work that time!

Ripperger, who've I've emailed several times and got nothing back. So I take it that my Lord wants me to suffer more, and I give it up to him every day, I pray the Rosary nearly every day, and if I miss I try to pray 2 or 3 the next day. I ask Our Blessed Mother and St. Padre Pio to pray for me, and I pray that St. Archangel Michael protects me. Started when I was 11 and running away from home, and the only place I could get out of weather, or sleep was an old house back in the woods, where Satanic Worship was held. I've been cursed every since.

They thought I was a lunatic. I could tell by the way they were speaking with me. They insisted it was psychological. But I wanted a professional exorcist to determine this. We have regular doctors but when we have cancer we see a specialist. She was around a friend of my aunts who was a medium when she was an infant. I still believe she has a malady. She went on to have an abortion, do drugs, drink. Its horrible. I feel very disappointed in Holy Mother Church for shying away from my pleas.

A Catholic Bishop is a direct descendant of the apostles. The apostles were given great power and responsibility by Christ. I can’t speak for you, but I can tell you that Luther and his followers are in protest of Jeus Christ and his Church. Not a great position to be in. Also, Luther’s writings are quite horrific, but that’s up to you go find on your own. Peace.

I was brought up Protestant but dabbled in the occult, mostly Tarot cards, and was delivered after tossing them out, repenting, and saying a prayer of renunciation. I see your point about the Bishop not being an authority in my case but I wonder about people who are more entangled, thus would need an expert to be delivered? Although I first and foremost believe it was Christ who saved me, I believe when it comes to spiritual warfare Catholics really do have an "arsenal" which has benefited me.

RCC is designed to give their AUTHORITY to their RC Clerics and their RC Teachings. Magisterium + Traditions + Scripture are equal in importance officially, per my research. However in practice, Scripture/Bible isn’t the foundation it could/should be, imo JESUS, The Word = The Authority Above ALL

I think the right way to go about it is to for us to go to CONFESSION, PRAY the Rosary, FAST on bread and water, receive the Holy Eucharist for each soul that is not of God. It is Jesus and Our Blessed Mother's intercession are the keys to receiving God grace, mercy, love and healing for that soul. Look around, man's law is imperfect but God's way is perfection personified. If only we would submit ourselves to God's Divine Will and Mercy. ✝️🙏♥️

Totally enjoyed the speaker Fr.Gary Thomas and i was not surprised to hear what he said about the Irish radio chat show Host Nial.....he kept on interrupting Fr.Gary Thomas, until Fr. Thomas said for the third time can i speak without being interrupted.Nial asked a stupid question, how do you know who is the messiah?Fr. Replied Jesus was the Messiah and that made Niall change the topic completely. It shows how some people are complete Pagans and yet Ireland recently made abortion legal(2016) which is against the 2nd commandment and Ireland even has same sex marriage, which in the eyes of the lord this is another Abomination against God.Remember Sodam & Gamora where both sexes were all having sex and God put an end to that.As i see their is still good christians in Ireland, but evil is at it’s most destructive force now.I will never lose faith in my God and the Church through these hard times.

I understand that Ireland has suffered much from hidden sins (abuses of all kinds including sex) of RC Clerics ~ in orphanages, schools & churches + cover ups. (I watched numerous stories on KZread). Betrayal is such a difficult wound to heal from + the most difficult sin to forgive. When there’s no justice, it’s easy for bitterness to take root which makes ♥️ hard, cold, dark, small. Do you think that’s what has happened collectively to Ireland?

God answers every prayer. Everybody seems to forget today in this instant gratification society that we live in that no is an answer. When we pray for something and we begin to see the fruits of our prayer coming to be, we get very happy. Oh God answered my prayer, He said yes. On the other hand when we have been praying for something for weeks, months, even years with no gratification, we say God is not listening to me, He is not answering my prayer. He is answering your prayer, He is saying NO, at this time that is not the best thing for you. After all who knows our needs, wants, and desires better than The Lord. St. Monica prayed for twenty years for her son St. Augustine. A man who led a very sinful life only to become one of the greatest Doctors of the Church. Just dont't ask to win the lottery or anything along those lines. I like to think that God says no to most prayers because he wants us talking to Him all the time.

Very, very powerful Catholic lecture on the most important understanding that people can get about the angelic realms, about Lucifer who becomes Satan (adversary) because "he would not serve God." Christ will never violate our free will. Mankind's true occupation in life is to be a "saint" and get to heaven. If you are a Catholic and you did not get this teaching, well, Fr. Thomas will bring you up to date...

I have yet to find scripture in the old and new testament that says there's a purgatory. I've only seen heaven or hell. I've not read where Jesus discusses purgatory. I believe this is man made. I also strongly disagree with where your authority comes from. It comes from Christ and not your Bishop (man). Only through the power of Christ can you exorcise demons out of others. I also will pray for you and that Christ will continue to protect you and give you strength and courage to continue in your ministry. Regardless of what I may disagree with you on, I am so thankful and grateful that you stand on the scriptures. Only Jesus can intercede for us.

Thank you, Robert, for your honesty. Here are some references to purgatory in the Bible God bless you! EXAMPLES OF PURGATORY IN THE BIBLE: "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart." (Matt.18:32-35) "Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny." (Matt. 5:25) "But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though ONLY as one ESCAPING THROUGH THE FLAMES.” (1 Cor. 3:11-15) Jesus teaches us, "Come to terms with your opponent or you will be handed over to the judge and thrown into prison. You will not get out until you have paid the last penny." (Matt. 5:26,18:34; Luke 12:58-59) The word "opponent" (antidiko) is likely a reference to the devil (see the same word for devil in 1 Peter 5:8) who is an accuser against man (c.f. Job 1.6-12; Zech. 3.1; Rev. 12.10), and God is the judge. If we have not adequately dealt with Satan and sin in this life, we will be held in a temporary state called a prison, and we won't get out until we have satisfied our entire debt to God. This "prison" is purgatory where we will not get out until the last penny is paid. Jesus says, "Be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect." We are only made perfect through purification, and in Catholic teaching, this purification, if not completed on earth, is continued in a transitional state we call purgatory. (Matt. 5:48) Jesus says, "And anyone who says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but no one who speaks against the Holy Spirit will be forgiven either in this world or in the next." (Matt. 12:32) Jesus thus clearly provides that there is forgiveness after death. The phrase "in the next" (from the Greek "en to mellonti") generally refers to the afterlife (see, for example, Mark 10.30; Luke 18.30; 20.34-35; Eph. 1.21 for similar language). Forgiveness is not necessary in heaven, and there is no forgiveness in hell. This proves that there is another state after death, and the Church for 2,000 years has called this state purgatory. Luke 12:47-48-When the Master comes (at the end of time), some will receive light or heavy beatings but will live. This state is not heaven or hell, because in heaven there are no beatings, and in hell we will no longer live with the Master. 1 Cor. 15:29-30-Paul mentions people being baptized on behalf of the dead, in the context of atoning for their sins (people are baptized on the dead's behalf so the dead can be raised). These people cannot be in heaven because they are still with sin, but they also cannot be in hell because their sins can no longer be atoned for. They are in purgatory. These verses directly correspond to 2 Macc. 12:44-45 which also shows specific prayers for the dead, so that they may be forgiven of their sin. Phil. 2:10-Every knee bends to Jesus, in heaven, on earth, and "under the earth" which is the realm of the righteous dead, or purgatory. 2 Tim. 1:16-18-Onesiphorus is dead but Paul asks for mercy on him "on that day." Paul's use of "that day" demonstrates its eschatological usage (see, for example, Rom. 2.5,16; 1 Cor. 1.8; 3.13; 5.5; 2 Cor. 1.14; Phil. 1.6,10; 2.16; 1Thess. 5.2,4,5,8; 2 Thess. 2.2,3; 2 Tim. 4.8). Of course, there is no need for mercy in heaven, and there is no mercy given in hell. Where is Onesiphorus? He is in purgatory. Heb. 12:14-without holiness no one will see the Lord. We need final sanctification to attain true holiness before God, and this process occurs during our lives and, if not completed during our lives, in the transitional state of purgatory. Show less

It is very worth researching where you can find Catholic Churches in your area. They're there, but may be a drive, and making an appointment for Confession, since it's been a long time. You will be amazed by the grace from the Sacrament that you receive. Ok .... I’m Irish and from Dublin and I listened to that radio show .... The Radios host name is Niall Boylan and he has a show called the cutting edge .... which offers QA to the public based upon current topics of discussion or interest in Ireland. As much as I respect Fr Gary Thomas and his calling I can tell you that he is being absolutely unfair in his depiction of how the radio presenter treated him. Now maybe this is a cultural divide in how the priest interpreted how the questions were asked but in no way did I perceive the radio host to be impolite in any way shape or form. I also believe that Fr Gary Thomas didn’t realize that the show wasn’t actually about him or the serious nature of his work .... he was simply there as a catalyst to provoke conversation on air amongst the Irish people only or those that listened to the show. There is an air of pride coming across to me from the father and I recognize that even if he doesn’t appear to realize it. The show was NOT about him or his work nor was the radio host to quote “dripping in sarcasm” ..... the radio hosts job is to provoke controversy in order to entertain the audience with thought provoking conversations. Such is the nature of radio shows!.....I think Fr Gary Thomas is up his own backside on that topic even though I genuinely respect his work and his level of knowledge and deep intellect regarding the field he operates in.

How about playing video games based on fighting demons?? When I was younger I used to play a game called Ghost N’ Goblins. The game is basically about saving the princess from the devil. One day I invited my next door neighbor to play Ghost N’ Goblins and he refused to play because it was about fighting demons. I was young and thought it was silly of him not wanting to play for that reason but I respected his decision and played something else. To this day I still play games like Doom (another demon fighting game). I never had any weird happen or saw anything demonic in my life. Now that I’m older and more religious and especially after watching this video I’m more concerned about opening demon portals unintentionally. Maybe my neighbor was right? 😬. Please tell me no.
