FP1 MOTOGP GERMANY 2019 RESULTS! ROSSI THREE BIG! QUARTARARO GUSUR MARQUEZ! 5th VINALES, 4th RINS
Fabio Quartararo outperformed Marc Marquez in the German MotoGP Free Practice 1, while Valentino Rossi secured the top three.
Marquez appeared dominant since the early minutes of the first free practice session on Friday (5/7). The closest rival, Alex Rins, never once approached the record of the time the world champion held on.
However, everything changed in the final seconds. After pushing Rossi down to third place, Quartararo improved the lap time and succeeded in finishing second.
It doesn't stop there. The Rookie nicknamed El Diablo then sharpened it to 1 minute 21.390 seconds while forcing Marquez to lose the fastest driver status.
A good start for Rossi. Throughout FP1, the Doctor's performance was tight and convincing. Always in the top five, until finally he finished the session in third place.
The fourth position is occupied by Rins, in front of the compatriot and the Dutch MotoGP winner, Maverick Vinales. While the sixth sequence claimed by Andrea Dovizioso, outperformed Jack Miller.
Andrea Iannone continued his neat appearance after Assen. He took Aprilia in eighth place, beating the LCR Honda duet: Takaaki Nakagami and Cal Crutchlow, who were wrapped in tibia fracture injuries.
Meanwhile, Jorge Lorenzo substitute racer Stefan Bradl was thrown from the top 15. It is also almost 1.4 seconds slower.
One accident occurred during the session. Rookie Francesco Bagnaia (Pramac Racing) collapsed on Bend 8. But his condition was fine.
