Just a tip infamous. Take citristrip. Spray or lather on, and leave for 36 hours then take A Slice of aluminum and it comes off in sheets, then spray down and clean. Easiest way to strip to bare metal and paint. Takes way less physical time (besides letting it sit) to strip and clean.

Every one of these cars I’ve worked on had corrosion under the seam sealer located at the corner base of the windshield. Once removed, it is bare metal underneath there. This messy piece of seam sealer is hidden inside of the apron. Both sides.

It definitely takes a lot of time to do it right. There’s a lot of people who don’t understand that. Looking for to see it finished.

It amazes me to this day all the corners ford cut when painting and prepping these cars. Like when a rough builder builds a home it’s rough, but that’s when the finish carpenter makes it pretty 🤦‍♂️ lol. Now I think they just dip the whole car and paint completely. Awesome work!

Guy at that station had 30 seconds to spray the engine bay before the next one came along.

Wow, thats pretty damn cool. I just recently started on the 89 I bought last year... I know a little bit about them, but watching and listening to your vids helps me better understand. I still have a lot to learn and hope to share with my 3 year old on our car.
