MMM was incredible. Some of the best Partridge. It’s genuinely balanced.

It was liquid Partridge
Tim Key’s reactions are priceless. He loves it when Alan takes his side.
"Hang on a second - Laser Quest is not a teenage pursuit! I 'Quest' with a Round Tabler who's served in Northern Ireland". Classic Partridge!
The craftmanship of how much humour they packed into every moment of MMM was incredible. All the dialogue itself, but everything else that's going on too. Not a second was wasted.

Disagree, I counted at least 4 separate instances where between 1 and 3.4 seconds went without even the hint of anything humourous.

Great comment, I always thought it was unusual, in that, if you're a Partidge fan, every line of dialogue is very funny, you don't get that in any other comedy characters/shows

"Foxes, they're thieving b'stards" AP - Forever the voice of reason.
Probably my favourite Alan Partridge scene. His debate hosting is hilarious 😆
Little red dogs just trying to put a chicken dinner on the table for the cubs
"By nightfall you and Leopauld are swinging from a lamppost..." The fact that he brings Leopauld back into the conversation is hilarious!

Wa'gwaaan?
My gf got angry at me last night, because I made the mistake of watching this in bed while she tried to sleep. I just couldn't stop rewatching the end rant, and chuckled silently more and more each time, making the whole bed jump.

same here 🤣
Partridge forces me to hold an incredibly odd look on my face, as i hold my breath trying to stifle laughter with an eerie expression of disgust/surprise as i desperately attempt a concentrated silence so as to hear precisely every tiny detail of the performance. i'm now bright red, wrinkly and damp with snot and tears. Thanks Alan!

I cannot fathom how all this (usually brilliant) material just keeps on coming for this wonderful character since 1991!
Amazing. More presenters should switch sides each time a guest says something.

This really stays true to Alan’s origins in The Day Today and On The Hour. There’s a lot of Chris Morris in this interview in particular.

Alan would be really good as a Hospital DJ, in fact, I for one would break my leg just to listen to him.
"he gets flashbacks. I have to talk him down over a milkshake"
Now he's doing his own jingles he's morphing from Richard Madeley to Jeremy Vine
I've enjoyed Nicholas Jones' performances ever since he played Jeremy Aldermartin opposite the late, great John Thaw in Kavanagh QC. Fine actors indeed.
It’s the best version of Partridge. The first season particularly.. outstanding.
I feel like Alan was with the hunter until he mocked questing.
This guy is someone who Partridge would really admire normally, especially if he invited him to the hunt, then he makes the mistake of dissing laser quest, or questers as I like to call them, and he crosses the line never to return. You can run, but you can’t hide.

I used to hate on MMM. . . Thankfully I’ve seen the light. This is first class
"And you'll blend in for a while...". A Partridge/Rickman combo that would have knocked Rob Brydon for four runs.
To fully appreciate this scene, you need the phone call from the guy beforehand who accuses Alan of not being balanced. ‘If you want me to photoshop your head onto a fat woman’s body and go round telling people that’s what you look like naked, you’re going about it the right way sunshine’

Need more of these, crying with laughter here.
End up roasting on a spit in the middle of the precinct 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Alan Partridge is doing a Russell brand thing is and it’s bloody brilliant. “Yous en ya maytes jus go rand beatin up woild life fer kicks innit?” That sort of mockney accent.
Tim Key is just perfect 😊
That is so close to the way the bbc conduces a “balanced” interview, it hurts…
Nicholas Jones bears a remarkable resemblance to Mark Hankinson who was recently prosecuted for encouraging the evasion of the ban on fox hunting. An excellent and prescient piece of casting.

Classic - ridiculous and absurd how Partridge takes on the side of an imaginary militant revolutionary. Crude but poignantly and brilliantly so. Surely Partridge must now rejoin North Norfolk Radio or perhaps Norwich Radio or Mid-Norfolk Radio? Cecil your dream dinner party guests?
