the uncle introduced fourplay to me and suddenly jazz changed my life. from there i discovered about larry carlton, lee ritenour, chuck loeb....101 eastbound really changed my life

This is the best musical group that you will ever hear from Fourplay. Lee Ritenour played the best guitar parts ever for this group.

They've had excellent guitar performances from all their players, George. While Lee is very good, so were Mr. Carlton and Mr. Loeb. Each guitarist has their own unique sound, tone, and style of play and it registers when you listen closely. I wouldn't generalize however.

Larry is equally as good in skill. I like 'em both but I'm just a tiny bit more on Carlton's side, but just a tiny bit more. They are masters.

Their first and Maybe best constellation, Bob James`s and Ritenour´s solos in the second number are just amazing. The whole band is obviously stunning and playing incredible tight.

These guys are not called fourplay for nothing! Incredible tight grooves and always playfull. I too love the elegantier Lee Ritenours jazz funk (in fact I played on an Ibanez LR 10 semiacoustic for 35 years) but at the same time I love Larry Carltons blues fusion playing just exactly as much.

Lee R is the best guitarist is the whole multiverse. Better than all alien guitarist that have ever lived within 8.76 light years from earth anyway. I hear there have been better in a galaxy far far away about 2.34 billions years ago. Hear the vibrato was better in denser atmospheres. Who knows.
