Four Tunes by Hawktail - a letterpress poster

Фильм және анимация

$20 plus shipping. 12x18 standard frame size. hawktail.bandcamp.com #FourTunesByHawktail if you record/video yourself playing the tunes!
Ever wished your house was more like a museum? Ever wished you had something on your wall that your guests could peruse while you finish chopping all those onions for the evening’s dinner? Like a vintage map or other informational document, this classic print is inspired by turn-of-the-century sheet music and “broadsides” and contains layers of insight into our tunes. Whether you read music or not, it’ll look very stylish on your wall.
Designed by John Fabke using 19th century source material and letterpress printed on lovely 12"x18" French Paper by Laura Baisden at Camp Nevernice, each note is impressed in the paper with a magnesium plate.
One of our favorite pastimes is playing music with friends and family at home, sometimes with old book collections of fiddle tunes. We like to encourage this behavior as much as possible.
We know a lot of you play music too and are looking for things to do to pass the time. Paul took great care to make the notations represent the essence of the tunes, and learned a whole lot about music notation and sheet music practices in the process. We hope you enjoy this offering, and let us know what you think about this inaugural sheet music print! It just may become a series..
Thank you Savannah Music Festival for premiering this video.

You guys are out of this world, the cream of the cream of the cream! Thanks so much for the inspiration to make music with people you love in this difficult moment. It's also so nice to know I'm not the only one who dances around like a man on fire to your music ;=)

This is so much fun. Annaliese and Dominick dancing machines, Paul's ghost..., Jordan quarantined and on horsehead fiddle, all the instrument possibilities and amazing cameos. What an innovative idea for sharing your music. I'm looking forward to my broad side and seeing you live again.

I love how Eddie Barbash makes those squeaks which are very much like Britt's fiddle squeaks.
