I have only just discovered listening to this wonderful teacher a short while ago. I have read Buddhist books but he explains Buddhism so beautifully and perfectly more than any of them. Such a peaceful way to start my day listening to him. Much, much gratitude for the teachings of this kind, loving, compassionate, and peaceful man.

This video has really given me a solid understanding on what it means to experience my own life as a Buddhist. I don't care about "being" a Buddhist or not, I just care about culitvating this profound awareness of life and how to live it.

The four notions are self, man, living beings, and lifespan. 1. Self - there is no “other” 2. Man - we have mineral, vegetable, animal and human ancestors and we should protect them all 3. Living beings - we are not separate from Buddha 4. Lifespan - you are free from time We are one with god and everyone and everything around us. There is no other. God is everything for eternity.

I feel this too but have found that it a) takes time to feel at home where I am, or b) means that you need to get more in touch with your self. And a great way to do this is as always mindfulness and meditation. You can get comfortable with where you are and sit right down with that feeling of “wanting to go home” to explore it more deeply and learn what it’s trying to tell you. It’s persisting because you still need to learn the message. I hope that helps.

This is the movement, desire for other, thanha, becoming, bhava, birth Buddha described. Just bring this state forth in to meditative awareness and let it manifest and become aware of your self manifestation in this feeling, the need to go to the next moment in this feeling which denotes the unsatisfactory nature of being, the conditioned phenomena, and what is not this feeling state which co exits every time. Notice thinking and understanding which is way beyond thinking and deep. See how even the understanding changes ultimately understsnding nothing/ not nothing, the co existent paradox. That is your path to liberation to non being being coexistence and which is not born, an understanding which is nibbling, Buddha encouraged us to investigate. Follow access to insight.org where you get the translated versions of teaching and amaravati.org in publications there are some words of practising monks.

I believe it's a place within you. If you feel like that, it must be a good sign, you are getting close.

(Thom 39) Jesus said, "The pharisees and the scribes have taken the keys of knowledge (gnosis) and hidden them. They themselves have not entered, nor have they allowed to enter those who wish to. You, however, be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves." (Gosp of Philip) "Winter is the world, summer the other realm." (Philip) So a disciple once asked the master for something from the world, and he said, “Ask your mother, and she will give you something from another realm." (30) Jesus said, "Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with that person." (69) Jesus said, "Blessed are they who have been persecuted within themselves. It is they who have truly come to know the father. Blessed are the hungry, for the belly of him who desires will be filled." (Thom 2) Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All." (30) Jesus said, "Where there are three gods, (guides) they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with that person." (48) Jesus said, "If two make peace with each other in this one house, they will say to the mountain, 'Move Away,' and it will move away." (6) "... Jesus said, "Do not tell lies, and do not do what you hate, for all things are plain in the sight of heaven. For nothing hidden will not become manifest, and nothing covered will remain without being uncovered." (18) The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be." Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end ..." (11) Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. In the days when you consumed what is dead, you made it what is alive. When you come to dwell in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?" (21)"... for the difficulty which you expect will (surely) materialize...." (51) His disciples said to him, ". when will the new world come?" He said to them, "What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it." (24) His disciples said to him, "Show us the place where you are, since it is necessary for us to seek it." He said to them, " There is light within a man of light, and he lights up the whole world. If he does not shine, he is darkness." (77) Jesus said, "It is I who am the light which is above them all. It is I who am the all. From me did the all come forth, and unto me did the all extend.... Jesus said, "I put myself under a curse for you to save you." (77) ...Split a piece of wood, and I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there." (82) Jesus said, "He who is near me is near the fire, and he who is far from me is far from the kingdom." (17) Jesus said, "I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never to the human mind." (3) Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty." Jesus explains very clearly our identity in Him. He said, You are the After-thought of enlightened Fore-thought. (Secret Apoc of John) The Mother-Father is great in mercy, the Holy Spirit, who in every way is compassionate, who sympathizes with you, the After-thought of enlightened For-thought. The Holy Spirit sympathizes with our compassionate nature, and is patient while we figure out how to realize our creative nature without hurting ourselves and others. I mean, before the flood, our feminine creative nature had free reign and we ended up manifesting Giants that ravaged the earth and us. After the flood, it's been the "men's turn," Until we figure out how to co-exist, we are contained under this firmament on a flattish earth. I imagine when the dome goes, it rolls back like a scroll? (Gosp Philip) the Lord said, Blessed is he who is before he came into being. For he who is, has been and shall be." ( Secret Apoc John) As for me, I appeared in the form of an Eagle on the tree of knowledge, which is the After-thought of the Pure enlightened forethought... (While human beings are the afterthought of enlightened forethought, Jesus is Pure enlightened forethought.) continuing.... that I might teach the human beings and awaken them from the depth of sleep. For the two of them were fallen and realized they were naked. Afterthought appeared to them as light and awakened their minds.* Jesus said the Tree of Knowledge is "the After-thought of pure enlightened forethought." What is "pure" enlightened forethought? (Dialogue of the Savior) "The Lord said, whatever is born of truth does not die. Whatever is born of woman dies." (In this mortal world of temporary existence, humans cannot imagine how to get out of this mess. ) (Thom 17) Jesus said, I will give you what no ear has heard, what no hand has touched, and what has never occurred to the human mind." In other words, "Pure" enlightened forethought.

I wish the 4th notion was elaborated on a little more, or that I understood it better. Is he directly referencing reincarnation with the being transformed for "better or worse" according to practice? Or is it more that we live on in others because we are connected?

@@plumvillageapp Thank you for your reply, it's very appreciated as I feel this is an important concept. After watching the video, it seems the "continuation through others" was closer to being correct (he references the Thay now being in you, for example), but I feel it's only a piece of something greater I can't grasp yet. In the cloud example, the cloud becomes the rain, which I believe will become the cloud again, albeit a different cloud. Is the idea that humans go through the same? The body becomes the soil, the soil becomes the plant, the plant becomes the human again? I can't help but feel I'm being too literal in my understanding. I should meditate on it more, as I shouldn't expect to understand signlessness from a single youtube video!

I understand the inferiority complex, but I’m struggling to understand the superiority complex. If you have think you’re better than others, how would that make you suffer?

It is due to the feelings and behavior that are the very basis of the complex of superiority: pride, arrogance. It makes that person tense. She will always be in a state of control, willing to stay in a position of domination, which is a form of suffering that makes others suffer. Thay and other masters may have reached a state of non duality where theses complexes have no more meaning at all.
