Good heavens, I just started to learn about these "hungry ghosts" after viewing a video on addiction and now this "hungry ghosts" I also now learning its not just in addiction but in family and even past life issues? Whoa.. these are heavy subjects I must discuss with my trauma therapist who also is teaching me about meditation. It saddens me that when I was involved in my fanatical "born again Christian" lifestyle I never knew this and since then longer life that way, and not that it has removed my belief in God. I saw in the "born again" lifestyle that it can be very dangerous to live that way as it's more of a fantasy like way of thinking. I want to tread carefully from now on and these "hungry ghosts are haunting me but in a good way, to learn about them. In fact, Im starting to see them all over the place and in people even. I will never bow to these Buddhist like bows Ive seen others do because no one has really seen the true creator and that is the one I bow yet do welcome these teachings. Jesus was said to visit Buddhists and believe that after seeing a documentary with Budhist monks having writtings of Jesus being with them.

I first tried meditation 50 years ago. I have never felt a single second of joy, either from meditation or from some outward source.

Mindfulness inspired me to create my own channel - to gently remind people to stay in the present. I started deeply looking into meditation as someone who struggles with a constantly wandering mind since early university days. Some days are easy but most days are incredibly hard to be present constantly, especially as a student. Calm's audio on meditation has genuinely helped me become a better person and more importantly actively try to be a mindful person. Days are not easy but its the littles steps consistently that count!

Brings to mind a (tibetan/nepalese/bhutanese) buddhist monk/lama wondering why Westerners who come (to his city/monastery/surroundings in the East) often report that they see coloured/rainbow light when he himself never sees any of that. #woowoo

She wouldn’t make it a single day in the busy city where common people live and work without melting down. These people are 100% charlatans. Out of touch with reality and telling you what you should think. “sister” you are trapped in a state of aversion which Buddha strictly spoke against and as a consequence of your choice to ignore the path you have chosen to immerse yourself in delusion.

My mother makes me so suffer, because she suffer so much and I practice to transform her suffering in me. She is an old lady of 80 years and her thought is, that it is to late to transform her own suffering. If I stay with her it makes me so suffer to feel, that she can‘t love herself and can‘t love me and trust in life. She thinks, that worrieng about me is love. I am so much exhausted, that makes it difficult to me to orgenize my life. I try my best to practice hoping one time I can transform her worries and her suffering in me. Thank you beloved Thay for your help.🌳🍃❤️
