People wouldn’t be bad if they knew and understood that they were bad and what it means.
amituofo. Not easy, we all have family, needs foods and deal with bad people outside world..
Amituofo Do the beats in the prayer beats have to touch each other or is it okay for them to have knots in between? Someone told me that knots would make it useless in meditation but refused to explain to me why... Thank you!
Theravada meditation usually focus n look at their own breaths , try focus on Amitabha name instead
damn that lust zeek
Amituofo I am a hindu in India. But I believe in amitabha. I am practising nianfo in India. But being in a hindu society others won't believe in it. I want my dying grandmother to attain rebirth in pureland. But she is not concious. She is slowly dying. She cant be mindful of buddha. She dont know anything about amitabha. If I say the name of amitabha near her is it possible for her to attain rebirth in pureland only by hearing amitabha's name, though she dont know what pureland is or who he is, without having faith in him

In India, you would call nianfo बुद्धानुस्मृति. I think perhaps, if you frame the Pure Land Dharma with an emphasis on the Indic Sanskrit tradition, your grandmother will be more receptive to it. The Dharma is an eternal legacy of Bharat.
Do not undo the Buddhas knitting with the wrong paths.
