    How did you get the colorful background at 7:54. Also are all these backgrounds achievable for a microscope with a fixed condenser ? Something like Swift 350B

    😬😬😬 A fair bit haha! I try not to do the mental math or it'll make me hesitant to keep improving. Biggest contributors to cost are the camera (Sony FX3), the BH2 DIC kit, and the turret full of PlanApo objectives. Like any other hobby, "enthusiast" gear costs a lot more than "pretty darn good" gear. You can do solid video microscopy on a budget of 300-500 dollars and excellent microscopy on a budget of

    @@diettoms We would be able to appreciate the "absolute highest quality" a LOT more if you would stay on an image more than approximately 1/2 second. I find it very hard to view your content the way you bounce around what you are trying to show.
