Foundation Routine *Rosacea, Extreme Redness, Acne*

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey guys! I finally got the guts to film this! This is my everyday foundation routine to cover my Rosacea. I deal with extreme redness and the occasional acne breakout with scarring. I would say this is medium to full coverage. I switch out some of the products day to day but it mostly stays the same. Hope it helps any of you dealing with skin issues like myself :)

Oh you are welcome! I know how hard it is and its hard to cover. Def try and cancel out the redness before starting the rest of your makeup. I never found foundation alone would cover it quite like I liked.

You are my new favourite you tuber. I myself suffer from rosacea type 1 and have been going through all sorts to cover my redness. I'm going to purchase the it cosmetics bye bye redness as my redness always shows through my foundation liquid or powder. I'm glad I came across your channel. I agree with another comment by a viewer saying you are lovely person inside and out and you are truly that. Keep posting on tips with rosacea and I'm interested in knowing the do's and don'ts and what works best. Thankyou.

great video! the bye bye redness did a fantastic job. i must get it for myself . for the past 2 yrs I've been suffering from cystic acne on my cheeks. it's horrible nothing has helped me cover it . i tried using full coverage foundations and concealers but i end up looking so cakey layering and layering trying to cover it. thank you so much for this video.

Jany N.M. I really know how you feel. I have tried so many heavy duty concealers and foundations that just make it look worse (and not even cover it completely) honestly. That's why I think the bye bye redness helps so much bc it just neutralizes the redness so it can be covered more easily. Give it a try! Oh and to make the heavy duty foundations look less Cakey; I mix with with an illuminator but still use the bye bye redness. My skin doesn't look great and I wish it looked better without makeup but at least I can cover it well!

I mostly use Bare Minerals - but some days, when I have flare ups, my regular routine doesn't work as well. I want to try the "bye bye redness" that you're using. It looks like it covers very well. I have recently added grapeseed oil and tea tree oil into my cleansing and moisturizing routine. I think it helps. It's very soothing and calming. I also took Oregano oil for a few days (because I don't want to take antibiotics dor this - I'm hoping to find more natural solutions) and that definitely helped. I will be doing that again for a week or two at a time. 😀👍

I've been looking for something to cover up my rosacea redness for a while, i've used other products but they didn't have the outcome I wanted, will definetly give this product a try. I'm 24 and have been dealing with rosacea for about 2 and a half years, my breakouts are very similar to yours but a bit more. I know how frustrating it is to deal with rosacea. I've tried antibiotics which helped at first but somehow I was immune to their effects later. I'm taking low dosage of roaccutane every other day and its working like magic. Consult your doctor about it it's working really well and i've only been taking it for a month. You're a beautiful and couregous person for sharing this video! Best of luck!

Excellent look . Also watching your previous video , when you used the products for the rosacea. Great job . Would you recommend the same procedures and products for “mature” skin ( age 72, newly diagnosed rosacea ? Colorless bumps that do not erupt , but redness for about three days after a flare . Use Cetaphil products, plus topical RX from the doctor, plus Prosecea . Haven’t dared to wear any makeup since first flare up January 2019 .) At the same time diagnosed with contact dermatitis , and had to change laundry soap , bath soap, shampoo/ conditioner for over all itching ,,head to foot . Free and clear . Had to give up bath My much loved Bath and Body Works products too . My skin turned against me at age 71. I never had troubled skin my whole life until last couple of years.

Your skin looks great! have the bye bye redness and it really does cover the redness better than anything else I’ve tried , but I have a hard time working with it. I find it to be sooo thick and heavy. Whenever I put foundation over it, it’s so textured and cakey. Do you find it really heavy? I wonder if I’d be able to just mix it in with a light coverage foundation. Maybe I’ll try that.

Tiana Senn I'm not sure your skin tone but I'm fairly light skinned myself. In the winter the color is def darker than my skin and I do use my foundation on top to cover it up. Right now the bye bye redness matches me perfectly. I really think it's worth giving it a try! Not sure if you live near an ulta but you could always go in and have them apply it to you then you apply your regular foundation to see if it works! Thanks for your sweet words! Dalen314 Just scrolling through comments to see what ppl think about the bye bye redness and I came across this. I’m so happy that they have lighter colors, I can’t wait to get my hands on them. Mine is too dark, it’s also very thick and heavy on my skin so I feel like it’s very noticeable under foundation. I’m hoping the lighter one will even things out a bit because even though it’s heavy, it does cover redness better than anything else I’ve tried.

nicola J hey! A lot of people suggest cutting out the following (either all together or individually): gluten, dairy and refined sugar. I can’t go gluten free. I just can’t do that so I’m not sure how it would help me. I’ve done dairy free before but noticed zero changes so it hasn’t helped me personally. I don’t consume a lot of sugar. Not that I’m sugar free but I don’t feel like I consume enough sugar for it to be my main problem. I’ve also heard to cut out hot beverages, spicy foods and alcohol. I tried cutting all those out and saw no results. Also I’ve heard to take a probiotic. I do take them but not everyday bc I just can’t remember.

@@Dalen314 Thank you for your reply.I'm not totally 100% sure if I have rosacea bc i have not yet been diagnosed, but I have a the symptoms i get extremely flushed in the face and have a few small red bumps/pimples around the sides of the face and slightly stingy tingly sensations in that area, i also notice when I'm going through the first stages before my monthly menstrual that the flushing gets really bad especially in the afternoon when temperatures are high but when it's ended my skin feels and looks better again, but the outline of the rosacea is still there it looks like the shape of a butterfly just not as flushed in appearance.I have started to cut down on dairy, sugar, white breads, alcohol, and started on green juices also taking iron pills bc i am anemic i feel a bit more healthier and notice my skin on my face is smoother, some what clearer and has a little glow to it,but the rosacea will always come and go no matter what i do.But I will try a probiotic as you mentioned to see if this would help.

nicola J what you are describing is so similar to what I started with. Most people that have Rosacea just get the general flushing. I get the pustules mostly. Before I really got Rosacea i would experience the same feeling in my skin in the afternoons. I’ve never heard anyone say the exact things I experienced. I am borderline anemic as well but haven’t taken any iron in a while (not since I was pregnant) so I may start those again just to see.

Hi! As a dermatologist I can tell you that flare ups are going to be triggered by hot showers, cold weather, wind, hot drinks, alcohol, spicy foods and sun exposure. Sun exposure will of course make the rosacea worse long term. It’s worth getting checked out so your dermatologist can prescribe you something very gentle for your face but also something that helps fade the redness to keep it at bay so it doesn’t gradually get worse. There is a cream called Soolantra that reduces redness significantly that has had great success rates so far!

J C I can imagine that is tough. What about that faintly tinted sunscreens? Like the new Australian gold tinted botanical sunscreen. It gives the slightest tint and evens out my skin a tiny bit but without it being makeup at all. I mean it won't make it all hidden but it may help a little. Or even try mixing a Bit of this bye bye redness in with your moisturizer. That may be less obvious and still help your redness!

cheekyoziechick Coconut oil is a pore clogger and very difficult to get off of the skin even after several cleanses, not many people’s faces can handle coconut oil without creating comedones. Probiotics are always a great idea though!

cheekyoziechick can you please recommend which probiotics to use. I’m seriously losing my mind here my skin has gotten so red and bumpy and painful... no foundation I have works. I barely leave the house anymore because it’s so bad. I’ve been using azelaic acid for the rosacea but it doesn’t work all the time . I would really appreciate it 😭

Claudia mariani Hi I drink Yakut brand in some milk before bed. Also I went to the doctors recently and she prescribed me with some ROZEX..metronidazole cream to use morning and night. I also drink apple cider vinegar ( 2 teaspoons ) in some apple juice with a straw. Cleaning the gut up is the start. Our skin reflects what is going on inside. Plus anxiety keeps us flushed..so exercise and distress. Hope this helps. Btw coconut oil hasn’t really helped me but I was told to try it but I don’t bother with it. Less yeast in your diet also. All the best.
