When I was in elementary school in rural England every boy carried a knife and that was normal, sometimes a sheath knife, and used it to sharpen their pencil and played Split the Kipper at lunch time. Young lady needed a pencil done then the boy did it for them. No one ever got hurt or damaged. Nice to see your video, lost you for a while. Those Webley knives are quite well respected. Must have been a landowners or Fox hunters favorite brand.
Some nice finds there Cleggy 👍🍻🍻
It’s a Webley lock knife, the little serated notch piece in the handle closes the blade when depressed.
Webley also made pretty decent air rifles too.
Good few finds there Cleggy. Not only a knife but a stone to sharpen it on. Almost like popping down to the Ironmongers. 👍
I think the triangular stone is a piece of very old floortile.
Every farm labourer had a knife like that
Nice finds cleggy, glad to see you out adventuring again!!!
Them 2 knifes cleggy are the same makers
Yep like one of you guys says: Every farmer would carry a blade! 😊
vintage Webley & Scott England folding knife with lock
Hi clegg Spelling mistake /the word on the knife blade is webley John.s Manchester
Hi clegg The word on the knife blade is Wembly and you should not be digging with your bare hands You could easily have cut yourself on that blade All the very best John.s Manchester
The knife appears to have a liner lock. Push the serrated metal liner to the side to close it.
So your telling me it's against the law to carry a pocket knife

Here in the UK it depends on how large it is and you will need to have a plausible excuse to carry a large knife
