Found My Old Baseball Card Collection
Ойындар
I was cleaning out my closet the other day when I came across the remains of my once “mighty” baseball card collection. So lets take a trip down memory lane....shall we?

Ignore any haters. TY for sharing your old childhood collection. Don't throw these cards out. Worst case there is always a friends kid who you can give them too. These have much more value than just dollars and cents. Just think what you would have felt like if someone gave all that to you. Thanks again for sharing.
My brother an I collected card together and I remember hours of reading the Beckett! My brother being 1.5 years younger so it was one of the few things that brought us very close... He died 10•08.09 and I miss him still in 2020...
These are worth millions in great memories!
Still got my collection it's worthless but the memories are great and priceless I will never get rid of my junk cards lol
People in these comments could be so rude. Obviously you're just trying to show off something that meant a lot to you and have fun with it taking a trip down memory lane. But some people just want to ruin the enjoyment. Sure, these cards don't fetch too much money, but I can tell it's not about the money to you. It's about reflecting on the memories of your youth. Excellent video.

agreed. these people need to chill. I love my baseball cards even though I know they aren't worth anything 😂
I loved the telling of how you started collecting baseball cards! That's what it's all about for me and comics: The Memories! Great video and thanks for sharing your story!
The good old days. I remember bringing by card binder to elementary school and trading my doubles to other kids for there doubles at recess or the bus. I collected from about 84 to 90. It was a seasonal hobby during baseball season. I had a huge binder full of my most valuable cars and took it to the local card store in 92. I wanted a car so I sold the whole binder for $800. Good decision because the value is based on a numbers rating of 1 to ten after you send the card in to be graded.
This looks exactly like my collection. These were the best years of card collecting I don't care what people say. Its not about the money to me. Great collecting man!!!

Do you think this guy making the video stole your collection.
nice history. always fun seeing collections never know what you will find
Nice memories in a box! I sold my collection in 1989. Luckily I have an old video of my collection from June 1987. I was able to rebuild my collection and since have added thousands more from 1953 to 1990. I love the older stuff, but seeing the cards I had in 1987 always gives me a great feeling!
I saw a few $10 cards in there, the 87 Topps Bonds RC and the 89 Bowman Griffey JR RC. Looks like fun to go through. The Jackson auto card would probably fetch $10 as well

+topps85401 If the Bonds or Griffey rookie get a PSA grade of 10 they can be worth maybe a thousand dollars. If PSA give them a 9 than maybe $30 to $50 but if PSA gives hem less than 9 than very little to nothing. checkout ebay

these are worth A LOT of money--thanks for sharing with the world!
The stories behind the collection is what makes it exciting. Don’t worry bout these rude assholes. Cool trip down memory lane!

that was the whole point behind this video. I think some people actually believe that I think this collection is "worth money."
Wow love it!
I'll bet there's still a lot of these in closets around the US.....a lot were manufactured and sold in the mass production days beginning about 88....and thru the early 90's. They're still being mass produced TODAY.......now there's 100's of different rookie cards of the same player...same year in various forms, signatures, patches, 1 of 20 etc....you get the picture...and they're going for big bucks...rookies who haven't even played 5 years in the Big Leagues. The same thing is going to happen to the next generation....makes my 47 thru 79 HOF'ers in PSA 7/8 or higher condition maintain their value but...will increase in value each year...
i know this is a year old but i buy storage bins, and as a old collector i just burn every cards i see, and if we all do it they will be worth more cause there will be less of them, i do the same with 8 track tapes, watch out 8 track collections will be pricless one day cause of people like me
Nice trip down memory lane
I miss collecting those cards that came on the bottom of boxes of Twinkies.
Still have the exact same baseball card album. Nice!
Nice little collection.
You have a really good bowman rookie Ken Griffey Jr.
Nice Cards & Video..Ty For Sharing

+KID TNT don't be so ridiculous, it was 90,000,000,000 at most.
Might be worth something in 200 years.
It would've been an awesome April Fools Day prank to really play up the Jackie Robinson find and then at the end reveal the reprint status. LOL
Man, I've still got binders and shoe boxes of old baseball cards from the 80's and 90's and Marvel cards from the 90's as well. I can recall thinking they'd be worth something some day too, haha, but the bubble really did burst in a huge way of the value of all this stuff, you can't even give it away nowadays. I think people who weren't around back in the day wont even be able to realize how huge it was, like you said, on every corner you could find a card shop back then. Good stuff!

Oh man, I remember the marvel cards. I collected those also. but yeah, kids now and days will never realized how huge baseball card collecting was.
The sad thing is so many Great players came out in the late 80s and early 90s but their cards are worthless due to mass production.
@steveseger5642

Most of the star players in the late 80's , and 90's were all steroid drug users. They were cheaters. No Hall of Fame, for them, just hall of shame.
I collect cards for 2 years now
1983-1993 is pretty much worthless as it was mass produced back then, but there are still a few cards that do have some worth in that era as well. I think we all got caught up in the money hype/ collectors way of thinking back then, but think about it, this was a HOBBY for all of us, and still should be, so I kept all of mine as well. I love doing what you just did, "take a trip down memory lane". Keep them, and you and your grand kids will have something to do together one day! I have two girls, and I know one enjoys cards, almost as much as dad! Not about the money, about the enjoyment, and memories in my opinion!! I ordered a pile of 1990-91 wax packs, of hockey cards, to open with my daughter, which cost about the same as they did back then, and what a great time we had that day! Trip to the store to get some bubble gum, while we opened the old packs, and just hours of spending time together! Great vid! Cheers!

No its more like 1986-1991 because there were about 8 or 9 major companies making cards and all of them mass produced. 1983-1985 were not mass produced thanks to donruss, Topps just started to produce just a little more cards than normal then but donruss stuck to the reasonable amount to produce
I think the set hes talking about is Upper Deck because my dad collected those as a kid and said they were like 15-20 bucks a pack, My dad has the whole 1990 set though its awesome
You have some nice sentimental cards..that's Bout it
Sounds like the set you were talking about was the 1993 topps finest.
Nice intro to your content , i just hopped on your bus
With the exception of a couple in the individual holders you would have trouble giving those cards away. There are some people that buy cards by weight so that would be your best option if you want to do something with them.
It's all about the memories buddy. Not about the money. My Mom used to take me to card shows as a kid as well. Great times. Like a casino for kids.

willy565 no way dude. It's all about the cash. That's why I quite my job...as I am sure this collection will allow me to retire in the Bahamas..... All kidding aside....i can remember just looking at all the cards and memorabilia in the card shops. It was amazing.
The last year worth money was the 1975 Topps(in at least nr mint condition). My ‘75 set is in nr-mt to mint condition. All cards are well centered and handled only 3 times.I’ve been offered over $800 in 2017 but refuse to sell.

trade or sell perhaps if u still have them ?
Exactly! It’s turned into a money-making scenario! Collecting your favorites or heroes cause that’s your favorites seems dead ! You know oh wow I got a autograph or relic how much can I sell it for ! Just my opinion!
My G-ma Actually has about 2500-3000 baseball cards under her bed from the mid 80s (85 86 87) and we spent like 30 mins researching them lol
Hold on to those for like 30 more years and it will be worth a lot of money
The 1989 Bowman Griffey Jr Rookie is probably the best card there.
eyy you dude I'll take those cards
How much do u think u could make
I'll Buy Them All Still Available Thanks.
any of the cards that you already have or Don't want I'll take
the frank thomas 1989 rookie error card is worth a lil dough
I also have mint condition Blue original Star War Cards. Not for sale.
still cool cards they are just from the junk wax era. A few of those have some value if graded PSA 10
For set collectors, we have to pay a premium for commons. Not fun buying at $1 each. But they cost nothing if you get a pile of random ones. Just bought a bunch of cards for 50c each that I could not afford in the 90's. You have Reggie Jackson's autograph? 11:42
I'd buy your collection if you're interested turning loose of them.
At least worth 45$ the cards have byn touched and the corners are all rounded also the cards value have depreciated so you are lucky if u get 45$
someone took all the ken griffeys out
I'll buy them from you still got em
My dad has been collecting these cards Baseball and Basketball also football and comic books he has over 2000 of them

He has been collecting for 40 years
hey so u still want the 50 or is 40 ok
how much money
Watching this 4 years in the future but you have a ken Griffey jr 1989 bowman card that goes for some money just letting you know
You should give them to some one
I want those
honestly, the cumulative value of the cards could be $200 or so....that would be the Beckett value, but Im not saying that you could get that much.....good to go down memory lane....
I’ll have all of them
Hodl!!!
Do you want to sell them
Pete rose is a very very good card
Can I buy some
There good I want some
Good times. Haha.

Yes, maybe not a financial winfall. But a trip down memory lane none the less. Hard to not be romantic about baseball.
How much would you sell them for

i just started around 2 years ago and i have 1970 1960 1980 and 1990's and i have over 10k and i started cause i found one on the ground one day :P
The carl Ripken card is worth a little bit of cash
I threw them all away.
not if it has dents
Yo bro I will take the cards
When you find a babe Ruth and you think it's real then you realize it's a reprint
I have that x5
You might have a couple cards worth $1. They'll probably take about a year to sell, tho
Put gas on that stuff on a cold winter night ..thats about it .
the blank spots is where ur cousin stoled them when he spent the night at ur house, he left u with the wack cards
GIVE the cards back :)
Is your friend by any chance, Tony Marinucci? 😂
I think its funny that he cant figure out why hes missing cards here and there... That was the spot that the card shop pulled Derek jeters rookie card out and gave your grand paw 1.00 for it. Did anyone see cards of 100% Value? I didnt..
or for all them
