Found Cognac piece of Baltic Amber, decided to cut it

Few weeks ago was beachmbing beaches of the baltic sea for fossils, and accidentally found gorgeous piece of baltic amber! Even though it didnt have any insects inside, had to cut it and polish it. Turned out gorgeous!:)

What a great find. Reminds me of a sharks fin in its shape. I think it came out really nice all polished up. Beautiful.

WHEW ! I thought for a second you were going to cut those dots out... It looks beautiful just the way it is. You don't have to change the shape for a necklace, there isn't another one like it... it is unique !

woah man, based on my careful research i believe this is a rare amber color/type called ButterScotch Egg yolk / white amber , sometimes nicknamed royal amber as well ! it's worth more money and is more rare than other amber varieties . great skills man , your amber polishing videos are helping me learn and love amber so much

@@Amberscape ye you could be right , i mentioned different names because they all seem to be under the butter scotch category . different website say different things , i saw some professional websites saying even white royal amber is part of the butter scotch category , because it looks like butter etc xD . But ye it's important to know the rarity and value of this amber :)

Is Amber soft to carve? What tip did you use on the Dremel? It looks just like a sand paper tip?

Irs 2.5on mohs scale:), sandpaper is more than enough to shape it

I used epoxid resin - its perfect for that as its exactly same consistency as amber

Its a nice big one, but not as clear sadly. I know a place they say its full with these things. I will go there one day. On the Baltic coast of corse. Where else?

Uh ive got it from story with building materials/tools. You can find it online its called dremel stylo:)
