That rectangle shaped piece of sheet copper I’d be double checking. The confederates did have buckles like that. Look for hook marks on it. I’ve found one before at a vets homesite.

I live in Oklahoma and seated quarters just don't come up around here!!! But if you want to fund some native they are everywhere around here!!! We just don't have any colonial home sites because Oklahoma didn't become a state until 1907!! Before it was called Oklahoma it was called Indian Territory! I wish we could dig shoe buckles, knee buckles but we have millions of Native spear points, native beads, scrapers, bird points and everything native but I love my State and I love my Native Heritage!! I'm Choctaw Indian and proud of it!!!!
