Fossil Hunting in Wales: Penarth

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I went fossil hunting in Penarth (and Lavernock), where I found some really good stuff! P.s. The vertebra belongs to a Plesiosaur. :)

My wife & I went fossil hunting in Penarth many years ago. I found a very nice large Ammonite in a pretty large lump of rock - 2 minutes later my wife found the other half of the rock containing the outside "mould" of the same Ammonite - our best find to date.

I don't recommend it, there's not much hear at all!! only ammonites, bivalves and the odd vertebra and bone, never really a tooth

Nice finds! It looks like a plesiosaur caudal vertebra to me (I'm Adam).

Hey Adam, I suspected plesiosaur but wasn't sure if any had been found before here. I can bring it to you when I visit Chinasaurus to check if you like? :)

Hi Ryan, I’ve just started collecting rocks from my local beach, I’ve no idea what they are and was looking for someone that make these kind of videos.. so hopefully I’ll be able to identify the rocks that I find, many thanks 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 from Anglesey

Plagiostoma? I think that might well be a Plesi vert also - great finds in any case.

Rode to 800 Subscribers! Edit:The coprolite you were not sure about looks like an igrarnadon bone to me, but Mabey it's because I usely fossil hunt in the isle of wight. I think this because there are Wight specles that look like honeycomb for me. But, I'm probably wrong.

I'm from wales and I've been creating a prehistoric comedy about a welsh T-rex called Dai-rex if you are interested in watching it. If you do watch it on my channel let me know what you think. Thank you.
