I love Motorsport far more than Horizon. But Horizon 5 looks A LOT better, sharper, brighter and runs far, far faster. I don't understand where all resources are going for Motorsport, but Horizon can run twice as fast at times.

Depends on what better graphics looks like for you. FH5 is vibrant and more colorful, FM8 is a truly more raw and accurate depiction of real life. If you're looking for straight realism in graphics, FM8 is the winner here. If you look outside, you'll notice that grass in real life isn't as green as it is in FH5 and is closer to the color of it in FM8. If you look at trees in real life, they aren't overshadowed and dotty, they're dark in certain areas. FM8 does that. The grass blades are more realistic in FM8 as well, as they look more like well, grass blades than the ones in FH5. Track detail is more withered and used, accurate to real life in FM8. So on. Again, depends what you're looking for.

The trailers and gameplay showcase made Motorsport 8 look far superior. Obviously one is a more realistic sim and the other is an semi-arcade racer. Still, it's a shame that they keep delivering so much false advertising in the gaming industry, and worse yet people pre-order and then compain. 😅

i am forza 5 fan .. but man , the rain gameplay in motorsport is a masterpiece

Recommended Specs Forza Motorsport : RTX2080Ti Forza Horizon 5 : GTX1070 There is little graphical improvement from FH5 even though it requires a high-end GPU.

Graphicaly, FM actually looks worse sometimes. The rain and lighting is better though. They just didn't bother to test the game on older hardwares.

4070 ti on 3440x1440 and it dips to 50 fps….Im glad i didnt buy it. Biggest F in optimatization. Fh 5 meanwhile….everything extreme, rt and open world 150 fps in native. It looks and performs 3x times better then this Motorsport crap. I dont understand these white knights protecting this game 🥸

Forza Horizon 5 runs even very good on a 1060 with some OC, you don't need a 1070 for High settings. FH5 optimization is miraculous, FM optimization is a curse. That's the lenght of talent from both development teams.

Motorsport looks terrible compared to Horizon 5... it looks fing cartoony... how did they go BACkWARDS? Beyond that the game is horribly broken in so many ways. I would be extremely upset if I paid for it. Thank God for game pass I deleted the trash after an hour or two.

I think the supra model is updated on FM. The tailights are much more accurate and the blemishes on the steering wheel are awesome. The material on the dash also looks great on FM. The overall shape of the car looks better on FM. Sound wise Horizon is better.

It looks like a generation behind Horizon 5. They fed people utter nonsense with the trailers. When the actual game came out, it looked NOTHING like what they tried to market. There's plenty of comparison footage out there of all the downgrades.

Mano parece que os carros do FM estão com cimento em cima deles bixo. O Horizon ganha em iluminação, texturas, climas, tudo, simplismente a equipe do FM fez ele com preguiça e economizando, a do FH não, colocaram esforço e muito amor no game.

I run FH5 in Ultra at 60FPS and the FM8 runs like horseshit in my PC (like 30FPS on medium). I have an i7 10700k, 16GB RAM and a humble 1660Super

I changed my mind about Forza 5 after Motorsport 8 released

FH5 > FM

I really hoping the new for a gets a few updates to fix the graphics and other issues it has going on this is really disappointing tbh almost makes me want to give up on Xbox but Sony isn’t doing any better either sadly may just go back to retro gaming you know when games were actually fun and released finished instead of broken.

Having slightly worse graphics than fh5 does not make it a failure, plus fh5 set a high bar anyway. Gameplay wise it’s a great game especially now that wheel is playable

Motorsport on the series s is absolute junk in terms of graphics. Even in the quality mode it looks below 1080p, even though it should be at *1440p. Then when you compare it to bloody horizon, it looks like a fucking android game made by a group of teens. Heck I may rather play Real Racing 3 over this mess.

I'm actually sad that I bought the premium version of the new Forza, I bought it for FH5 and OH man was it amazing and is still putting out amazing content. I have about 12 hours on the new Forza and it's been extremely disappointing, the multi-player is AMAZING though

@@ESKATEUKIt's not bad, just... mediocre. Unlike the previous titles in the series, Horizon 5 doesn't have anything to write home about. It also feels way more fictional and wacky with all the goofy things you can do in it. The original Horizon and Horizon 2 felt like they were real. Like they were actual plausible festivals. 3 and onwards kind of just went a bit too far. It's not inherently bad, it just doesn't have anything interesting enough, and undermines what the original Horizon idea is about.

blame every single badgame out because 4k gaming culture as its default release. our technology isnt ready for that, futhermore if they want to add raytracing too. even rdr2 (game witout raytracing) on 3090 can only achieve 50fps++ in 4k. gaming culture should go back to 2k and below and make 4k only as feature, and not as default release

Lol to the people saying FH5 looks better...maybe you should step outside for a change. The real world isnt brightly colored, with every surface shining. FM8 is supposed to be a simcade game...as in closer to sim than an arcade racer. And it looks loads more realistic than Horizon. It's supposed to have colors washed and not eye popping...you know ..like the REAL world

ANYONE ELSE EVEN REMOTELY AGREE WITH MY ASSESSMENT OF BOTH HAVING STRONGER POINTS THAN OTHER? Give me all of Horizon but change out tracks and cars of Motorsport. Marry the best of both. Motorsports backgrounds look awful, bet absolutely it is obvious at a glance Motorsport kills in Track graphics The Cars are way more nuanced. Motorsport looks better as in realism, Horizon has better reflection and damage with the metal. It's like zero sun is ever shining on the cars in FM8.

Horizon is dog shit. Repetitive, boring crap. The story is crap, the online is probably the worst of any game I’ve played. There is also no sense of achievement at all as you’re just given the best cars so early on. The races are all short and repetitive. It’s a genuinely awful game.
