Does The Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure Expansion FAIL? Forza Horizon 5's newest Expansion has just dropped. Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure is a new expansion that brings Rally Racing to Forza Horizon 5, along with several brand new cars and a brand new map exclusive to Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure.
Featured in Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure, is a brand new map, called Sierra Nueva. It's north of the main Forza Horizon 5 map and is located in Northern Mexico. The Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure map features several similarities to the main Forza Horizon 5 map. However Sierra Nueva features roads more suitable for off-road rally cars and slower powered cars. The roads of the Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure Map feature sharp corners, changing elevations, and narrow straights. Making them super fun to drive on in slower class cars, such as C and B class cars in Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure. and this brand new Forza Horizon 5 Update.
Speaking of Cars, this Forza Horizon 5 update features several new cars! Such as The brand new Ford F150 Lightning EV truck, and the 2002 Colin McCrae Ford Focus. The legendary car itself!
Like the name suggests, this Forza Horizon 5 update brings Rally Racing to Forza Horizon 5. There are three flavours of Rally Racing. Dirt Rally, Road Rally, and Night Rally. And they all say what they are. All three rally modes are fun and get the job done. However playing the new Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure expansion, I found myself at times zoning out and or wishing I was playing Dirt Rally or Dirt 3 instead.
This is where I feel the this new Forza Horizon 5 Update really fails. It fails to excite me. It's good at it's core, but it fails to do anything above that. This Expansion plays it really safe when it comes to everything. It's your typical Forza Horizon 5 Expansion. Nothing more and nothing less. What you get is quality, but also nothing far from what you would find in a Forza Horizon expansion. A super safe, refined experience that is fun to play, but fails to innovate or leave you excited to play it after more than a few hours. Like a nice meal that you've had before that also doesn't fill you up.
I challenge Turn 10 and Playground games to try something new. Innovate, and bring us something that doesn't have to be perfect, but something exciting. Something NEW.

every fh dlc is either a wacky(lego and hotwheels) or offroad. no wonder players are dissapointed
You’re first complaint is that a external expansion has to be loaded “Everytime” you want to play it. In motosport you have to load every track and it takes the same amount of time. Hell it takes longer for me to load a single player race than it does for this expansion to load
DiRT 2 and 3 are still GOATED. Go back and play them instead of this

I get your point the excitement factor is more on personal preferences it depends on the person. I for one enjoyed it and just glad it is a good DLC specially for rallying and the road layout being the best in the series. I do agree the franchise needs a big shake up in the future after FH5. For 20$ its an awesome DLC
This was cool during the first horizon when the game sort of warranted it. Don’t get it twisted I like the work they put in and the aesthetic. It just doesn’t really do much though realistically. If you wanted to do rally you were likely doing something like that with horizon already or are playing an alternative to get that fix. It just doesn’t feel necessary, it’s dumb to say that considering the hot wheels expansion also but well it’s not really new. It’s cool and it’s polished but eh…
A rally have minimap No Part Degrade or Damage system so theres no tension between controling your car. Only onr car is rally cars lmao

My issue with the update is that forza does a crap job at making you feel fast, the slowest car from butnout feel faster then some of the fastest cars in forza and because of that forza is so damn boring most the time
I've got back into Forza Horizon 5 because of this expansion although I wasn't aware of it until StraightUpHippo (aka Papi Cam) made a stream of it. I'm enjoying it so far but just like you said,it sorta feels underwhelming. I'm a huge fan of rally racing and it's a nice addition although I'm disappointed that we still don't have the Lancia Delta yet :( At this point I'm kinda fatigued of open world racing games and I wanna see more closed track racers again à la Project Gotham Racing or even Grid Legends which is an amazing game to me and has that something of what I've been missing from most racing games
