This gamemode would be a lot more fun with scarce checkpoints. Nearly ever race is just dart in a straight line through the woods. The road path is nearly always obsolete

Well it kinda depends, some cars are more road heavy so they are faster either way.

Maybe you should enable the navigation voice, because it talks before the route and destination shows up in the map. Like in this situation at 2:15:38. If it’s enabled it would say turn around or something and sometimes that can be very useful.

@IsuckAtDriving For PC keyboard, how to choose a car when you eliminated someone? You are able to choose the Ferrari GTC4L instead of Alfa Stelvio at 3:54:49. Please advise.

It seems to be more recurrent when there are around 15 players left, everyone was pushing each other off the arena at the end that was much fun until a few guys quit and the final race went on
