Forty years carping part two

Спорт

It's the next day, second session in and i arrive at the lake around 9AM. After spending a little time with the Deeper and lead I'm happy with the fact that the swim is clearing and fish are showing up. For the next few hours i spend my time between hunkering down behind the brolly eating and drinking and standing in the wind watching.
As ever the memories i have stored up come back to me as I reminisce about times gone by.
But even though there is forty years between my first and last visit I'm still not finished with the place.

Another cracking video Steve, must admit seeing that little lad brought back memories for me. It looks like a decent water to fish on to be honest. Looking forward to part 3 now bud.

Lovely to see Steve, have a similar water myself where I started carp fishing. More to the point great to see you out a bit more now and getting back to your old self. Have a great Christmas and lets follow your exploits in 2021. A true gent of the sport, and one many could learn from indeed.

As you get older change (which is inevitable) gets harder to accept. In 40 years the lads now will no doubt be saying the same. Personally I'm one for leaving things alone :-)

erm? it used to be called 'the suicide swim' (We found and I reported a suicide/drowning there back in the mid 80's). Really sad and shocking, apparently the guy had terminal cancer.
