Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Palm Beach Dash Cam Driving Vid - 1080 HD

[NOTE: Apologies for any pop up ads or stupid ads at the beginning. Those are not my doing. This is a non-monetized site, but YT inserted those in. :/ For anybody who hasn't looked into AdBlocker I HIGHLY recommend installing this on your computer to block ads from any website, and especially KZread. You'll never be bothered by these pesky pop ups and forced ad inserts again. You can either get annoyed....or take action!]
Dash cam vid of my trip from Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach on 1/6/18, made with Street Guardian SG9663DC dual channel dash cam system. So far I'm really digging this dash cam. The last dual dash cam I purchased kept locking up the second things became too hot, rendering the whole thing pointless. However Street Guardian was designed to be able to handle high temps, which is an absolute must for all southern and southwest locales. Plus it's a dual cam system that films in wide angle 1080 HD, comes with the polarized filter, GPS attachment, as well as a memory card with 64 GB capability. (The other cams I've either researched and/or purchased [but then had to return] came with 32GB cards, max, if that.) So, it's freaking awesome. Has all the features you could hope for. Highly recommend.
_____
The route: Starting at Federal Highway and Griffin Road at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Heading north on Federal, passing through Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Lighthouse Point, Deerfield Beach and into Boca Raton. Then turning east onto Palmetto Park Road in downtown Boca, and north onto the A1A. From there it's the A1A all the way up through Highland Beach, Delray Beach, Gulfstream, Ocean Ridge, Manalapan, south Palm Beach and into Palm Beach (including past Mar-A-Lago), just shy of the Royal Palm Way intersection. At the end I turn south again for a short bit, where the vid ends at the A1A/South Ocean Boulevard and Southern Boulevard. The towns/cities are marked in the vid for reference.
Btw......I used Google Maps to determine the exact city boundary lines for each city, so my timestamps are extremely accurate!
The day was clear and beautiful, temps from 67-70, perfect for filming a drive, as well as showcasing south Florida in the "winter."
Background music mix is "Deep Jazzy House" by DJ Dimsa. • Lounge Beats Deep Ja... (I'm a non-monetized site, so I'm not making any money even indirectly through these vids. I just needed some good background music and DJ Dimsa's fit the bill...) BTW.......If somebody watching wants to complain about the music? Leave. There are plenty of other music-less dash cam vids on KZread to watch. This is a non-monetized channel, so anybody complaining about anything on a free video generated for fun when you have the freewill ability to "change the channel" is an idiot, bottom line. I have a day job, I'm not relying on YT to earn a living, which is why negative opinions on the music are irrelevant, they won't get posted, and it's not going to change anything.
With that said and out of the way.....Enjoy!

    @@mikedavis9159 That is just wild, seriously. Because I had like 15 or so DJ Dimsa mixes to choose from, and I scrolled through each, one by one, to see which one was the best in terms of not only matching the scene/vibe of this area, but which was also the most decent music-wise all the way through. Most of them had parts that were okay, but then parts that I didn't like. So it came down to this mix in terms of being the most fitting, vibe-wise, and being the most consistently enjoyable to listen to all the way through. But that's awesome that my vid was able to so accurately duplicate your experience! The only way it could have been more perfect was if it was in the evening!

    Love the music selections. @ 6:55...that last second right lane suicide merge before entering the Henry E. Kinney tunnel...so many tourists ready to collide into your passenger side door. @ 9:53..on the left is the old Searstown Mall. I believe that was one of the first malls in Ft. Lauderdale. I used to live a couple blocks from there and even my mother had shopped there when she was just a kid. @ 18:35...the Mai Kai. Oakland and Federal is where I spent a huge amount of time.

  • @CarissaConti

    @CarissaConti

    6 жыл бұрын

    That lane merge was downright polite and smooth compared to things I've seen or experienced when driving down here. It's the whole reason I even have a front and rear camera system to begin with - "cover my ass" in the event my luck in dodging endless near collisions eventually runs out or my lightning fast reflexes is no longer enough. I've been experiencing very severe intermittent issues with people suddenly jerking their wheels and attempting to quickly wedge their car in front of me out of nowhere, last second, but to the point where they're totally going to hit me like I'm not even there, so I have to jam on my brakes right down to the floor to get my car to stop, hard and fast and prevent the collision. If it just happened once...fine. Bad random driver. But this has happened literally over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over. To say it's angersome is putting it mildly. It's rage inducing, and I've had to hold myself back from getting out of the vehicle and confronting the idiot drivers in question and turning things into a road rage situation, because you never know how that could end. So yeah, the lane merge seen in this vid didn't even register on my radar because of the level of lane "merges" I myself have repeatedly had to dodge.

    Well, if you click on the "Sunrise Boulevard" time stamp (00:10:04), that'll bring you to the biggest (and only real) traffic crunch of the whole vid. It extends past the 00:13:30 mark, and that's with the red light stops removed. That particular stretch of road always has a crunch going on since it's one of the two main funnels to Fort Lauderdale Beach, and I definitely remember this particular day it was aggravating. But as far as the rest of the ride goes, you're right, it is pretty minimal. Guess I lucked out.

    Both. :) That's why I love living in Boca, which is the furthest south Palm Beach County city, right on the border with Broward. We live in PBC which is more calm and peaceful, but still with close proximity to Broward. So whenever we get the itch to visit a more urban, happening place Ft. Lauderdale is only 17 miles south, Hollywood 20-25. Gotta have balance. I wouldn't want Broward all the time, but I also don't want PBC all the time either.

    i can help with that, the reason why people are so rude now is because they come from new york and points north, i lived in this area from 1969 to 1981 and have gone every year until 2016, it used to be heaven on earth, but like many good things, they eventually get spoiled by people who dont appreciate beauty and good manners, shame!!
