I went to kings island amusement park a few years ago right out of Cincinnati and saw a bench there that said it was used in Forrest Gump!

Use to live in Hilton Head Island and went to Savannah many times, lots to see there. Gratz on your move Jordan, house looks awesome and I'm happy for you! I think it will be a better place for jah too away from the city.

Great tour of Forest Gump. My cousin’ son played one of the young boys when Forest was young. He is in the scene where the boys are riding bikes and my cousin’s son throws rocks at Forest. He is the one in the red and yellow striped shirt. My cousin was in the Marine’s in the Beaufort area and son Cole somehow managed to get a small part.

I love how you take us on locations and the way you tell the story is so interesting and just wonderful and I never want them to end! Thank you Jordan!

I'm from western Canada and drove to Atlanta for a conference, went to Savannah as part of my trip, my favorite US city so far, and I've been to most states, even Hawaii, not Alaska yet. Forest Gumps bench was there then (2005). There was an image of Forrest on the bench.

I am so excited you made it to Savannah!!! My husband and I were married at Lafayette Square last year, it's such an amazing city. I am originally from SoCal (Orange County), moved to Tennessee 10 years ago, but moved to South Carolina last year, so we go to Savannah often. I also suggest that you check out Charleston, South Carolina when you get a chance, it's an amazing City a bit similar to Savannah with so much history as well. I think you would love it! 💙

Love Forrest Gump. One of my favorite movies.

Another bench is owned by Chris Christian. He was a contemporary Christian Music Artist at one time and wrote a song that Elvis recorded. He then bought and ran a movie studio. That was when he bought the bench to put in his Studio tours. He has a movie collection that is not as large as the Fisher's but it is pretty impressive. After he sold the studio, he kept the collection with him. He also has shoes from the movie.

You are the Man! You just have a way to gain access to some great places whether closed or not. Persistence obviously pays off for you! Great Vlog.

I lived in the area and was an extra in the movie . Loved the experience. I was in the scene with Lady Chablis and John Cusak at the debutante ball.

@@Caramel923 Haven't seen the movie. Moved here 10 1/2 yrs ago. Lived on E. Victory (right across from Daffin, catty-corner Grayson Stadium). Now, in Rincon. Always wanted to go to Club One to see and meet Lady Chablis; sadly, she passed away and I never got to see her.

Loved forrest gump tom hanks was a masterpeice playing forrest i would like to go there to savannah someday and thanks for the vlog i really injoy them and the ones u did in my hometown bakersfield ca.

I don't remember exactly how my mother became interested in the movie, but I do remember her buying the VHS tape all those years ago from a store in suburban Chicago called Venture. It probably took us each an entire summer to watch it from beginning to end because at first, we would fall asleep watching it 🤣!

I love Savannah, so many great places to visit and oh the food!! Alot of great food there! Hope you got to try Mrs Wilkes! Love hearing about filming locations for Forrest Gump. I recently found out that the school scene where his mom is trying to enroll him in was filmed right around the corner from where my mom grew up. So cool, wish I'd known that while she was still alive. She would've got a kick out of that.

Oh no. I not only saw this already but even commented. Great job & watching it again. Sorry I forgot. I usually go to Savannah for ghostly creepy things but I love the film history too. U do a great job.

I went to SCAD about a year after the movie came out and my Dorm was in O-House just a few blocks away. Where he is sitting on the bench, in the movie, he says he is going to Henry St and told its just a few blocks ahead of him. It is actually about 20 blocks behind him. Also just behind him a block or two is Six Pence Pub used in several movies, also a great place to eat. Savannah is is so great!

Hey Jordan! You did a great job on this video. Savannah is packed with so much that you simply don't have enough time to unveil it all. I know from sources that the bench that Forest Gump sat on during most of the filming was taken by a local. It isn't on display. Look into the "The Foley House Inn" as well, which is widely known as one of Savannah's most haunted places to stay. Take it from personal experiences....it's true. Also, in Chippewa Square. Bonaventure Cemetery and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" also filmed in Savannah, Ga. Love your KZread channel!

Savannah is a great town. We were stationed at Fort Stewart very near to there. Try to visit The Pirate House. It used to be a real pirate hangout and dates to the 1600s. It was even mentioned in the book Treasure Island . Such a great city, it’s like a movie set!

Next time you go, you should do the Old Savannah Tours tour, it’s perfect for footage and it tells you where everything historic is in Savannah.

Lovely to see pink rose blooming in March . Great Vlog Jordan I love Georgia but it’s a little too hot during summer, we are going to visit in fall if COVID has died down enough so things have opened up enough to travel. It’s amazing to see all the sights like this ,Savanna is a beautiful city ,like SanFransico so many nice old homes to look at.

I was actually in savanna about 4 years ago on a pedal trolley tour. Our tour was an older gentleman who lived down there for many years. He went on to tell us the story of the original bench and it’s whereabouts. He claims his good friend worked on clean up after filming and he asked about what are they going to to do with the bench and he was told they were going to discard it and he could have it. He claimed his friend has the bench in His backyard!
