But taking half the screen to show tornado and just having a blinking sign at the top of the screen or the corner saying ..hey guys tornado is out there...is exactly the same. Sure lives matter, but it's not like they're actually saving them, they're just reporting about a danger. Btw there are plenty of dangers out there, shootings, and robbing, and murder here and there, and flood, and accidents...by this logic there would be nothing but the split screen on tv lol ...it's kind of absurd imo.

Well said, great job. Most stations don't even go split screen. Good on you guys!
He gets fired from his Tulsa job for cutting away from an NFL game to warn people about wildfires, probably saving lives, so in his new job they compromise and split screen the NBA game but people are mad that the game was a little bit smaller just because of a possibly deadly tornado? People need to learn where their priorities should go. Obviously this guy does and he gets shit on for it multiple times. @@gregroberts2571 Well, clearly I should have read more than the title. Hadn't connected with that piece of the story. I don't have first-hand experience in the news industry, but surely a meteorologist doesn't have the ability on their own to "break into" anything. There would have been a team involved in this, including engineers an management or some form of leadership, yes? How was responsibility laid at just George's feet? Or were others fired as well? Either way, certainly not happy to hear about the end result, and I'll adjust my comments in light of that information.

This reminds me of when people would get upset about American Idol being interrupted by tornado warnings. Do you know how upset I would have been to try and tune in to see if I need to take cover and they decided to just keep airing American Idol? Like how selfish do you actually need to be?
Jesus how idiotic and selfish can people be!? I'm glad they put this video out and put those callers on blast. Next time I hope they conveniently forget the split screen.
This is what we need more and more from spineless corporations. When people at twitter rant asking to apologize for hurting their feelings. You DO NOT apologize. Do not bend the knee to the crazy stupid people. Just have the balls to say it. "We do not apologize" and wear that as your badge of honor.
Good job..thank you👌👌
I wish they would have drawn a big red arrow pointing into the center of one of those devastated buildings and said "I am sure the inconvenience you suffered from the video of the game being a little smaller was a little less than the inconvenience the guy sitting here would have suffered by having a two by four thrust through his skull if we would not have aired the warning"
This is why the elite think so lowly of us. "hey you might die there's this thing, be careful!" "hey don't interrupt my watching of a game that has zero bearing on my life!" the human race never ceases to either amaze, or disappoint me
