Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen testifies at hush-money trial | BBC News
Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen is testifying at a New York court in the ex-president's historic hush-money trial.
Mr Cohen alleges that the former president told him to be prepared for "a lot of women" who could come forward when he entered the presidential race.
It's alleged that Mr Cohen paid adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 (£104,300) to stay quiet about claims that she and Mr Trump had sex in 2006.
Mr Trump is accused of trying to cover up the payments he made to reimburse Mr Cohen by fraudulently recording them in his business records.
Mr Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal the payment and denies any sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels.

Trump Russian collusion was invented to deflect criticism away from Hillary’s stupidity of putting secret documents on a server which was hacked along with her emails. She deleted evidence smashing phones and wiping data and even laughed at a commission hearing over it asking “what do you expect me to do?”. Still she must feel she’s free from any chance of conviction in a DC courtroom.

The Jack Smith secret documents trial has been postponed indefinitely whilst the Georgia trial has been wrecked by Fani Willis. If the Georgia trial does eventually happen then it will be closely orchestrated to prevent the defence proving in court that it was indeed fraudulent. Trump was winning easily until mysterious stops at many counts followed by very late surges in mail in ballots almost all for Biden.
