That’s called modern tennis not real tennis. You cannot stand on the baseline and use a 2HBH for ever. You must learn the real game of tennis. And the giant artificial rackets and strings used today eliminate most of the actual game of tennis, it’s destroyed the game. Winston would have won 3-4 games if he played the way I’ve recommended. Standing on the baseline won’t get you far.

She’s probably still near a 6.0 USTA Women’s level. All the bedrock shots and essentials are still there; it’s clear to see that she was a professional/tour-level player. That ingrained ability is not going to just go away. As a flat hitter myself, a huge key would be to redirect with savvy counterpunching and pull her out of position. She had plenty of time to set-up on almost all of her shots and returns. Some sharper-angled drives would have taken her out of her comfort zone and probably elicited some errors/overhitting on her big groundies. Expose some potential movement issues. She likes taking a big cut at the ball off both sides, right in her wheelhouse. Take that away from her with super-deep drives into the corners or even sharper angles a few feet past the service line, and her rhythm could break. Easier said than done! Fun to watch 💪

She is a strong player. She is hitting many deep and hard shots - it ends up being a lot to deal with if you don't always play people who can do that. On top of that, her serve was strong. You had some good opportunities to sneak into net and put away shots, but you were probably focused on figuring out her baseline game rather than experiment in that set.

@@cekinekshn you fell into the handicapped trap. The equipment today is a handicap. It provides everything for the player. Real pro sports like MLB and NFL and NBA do not change their main equipment to make it easier. The talent must come from within. Tennis today cannot be compared to when players had to use real equipment to play. Todays players are watered down. Many don’t belong in professional ranks, if they had to use traditional equipment they could not compete. They need the assistance. If MLB allowed composite bats as opposed to the solid wood bats used for the past 120 years, they would be hitting 700 foot HR’s its east when you have artificial equipment like tennis adopted. They did it for $$. And the men’s game now mirrors the woman’s game. They both stand on the baseline. They both use 2HBH’s, the mens game became the women’s game. If you think I’m wrong take original equipment and try to play. Ability drops 75% immediately. The stats today are all skewed. You can’t compare anyone today to someone who won a GS in 78 etc. they had no assistance. The talent had to come from them. Today the shots are made using the artificial strings. When you change the equipment you lose the complexity of the game. Also todays players don’t even know how to volley mid court. Drop volley. S/V. Sorry but These are all 100% facts.

I'd rate her around a UTR 10.5 - 11.0. Thing is, she looks better than her real rating is, because she's playing someone that she can move around. Also, have a look at other players at that level; they're able to rally consistently. Kat did well for maybe the first 5 shots or so, but then is inconsistent after that. The higher level players would just grind their matches against her and she would win many points, yes, but ultimately wouldnt win many games. And a UTR is based on how many GAMES people win, not their power / style.

Winston would have won 3-4 games if he played the way I’ve recommended. Standing on the baseline won’t get you far.

You got no power on ur serve , that’s the problem . And all these youtube coaches saying modern forehand elbow up , pat dog blah blah , her forehand is elbow down , dropping racket on edge and still so much power .

Chic was good. Her backhand a little all over the place technically but works. Tons of power. Think he looked a bit slow and flat footed. You hitting the weights too much and will slow you down if getting too big.

I think if Katrina played a bit more actively she'd be like an 8.5 UTR (women's)

I think winston is a solid 7 if not low 8 and she smoked him lol, she looks like easily a 9 to me (as is, let alone with more training) also the whole point of UTR is that there's no difference between men's and women's, i think she'd beat any male 8 UTRs

@@adrianburger1162 Yes but UTR is still not the same between men and women at every part of the ratings scale. An 8 UTR woman who would be ranked in the ~top 5,000 should beat an 8 UTR man. I also think the same would be true for 9s. But a 10+ male will beat basically all 10+ females

@@jeffcohntennis it literally is the exact same haha that's the whole point, i can say anecdotally as an 8.0 every match i've played with a female high 7 / low 8 was pretty much a perfectly even match up (i would say a 10.0 UTR woman is if anything more likely to beat 10.0 UTR man since at that point the woman most likely has pro experience whereas the man is a likely non-starting, small-school D1 player at best, so i feel like the woman would probably be better at dealing with nerves) anyway no biggie my initial comment was mostly just meant as a compliment to katrina! i feel like she must've peaked at more like an 11 as that's where most top female D1 players are now (whereas on the men's side they would be into the 14s)

@@jeffcohntennis Yeah idk what you're talking about, the entire idea of UTR is that it doesn't discriminate on any basis (age, gender, etc). A 10+ man should in theory be completely evenly matched with any other person that's in their UTR range regardless of their sex or age. Also I tend to agree with adrian, she looks 9+ at the very least.

If WINston and KATrina had a baby they can call it ‘Kate Winslet’.
