Former MI6 chief predicts how the war in Ukraine will end
"Western policy is for this to end in a way that it actually has finished rather than just provided Putin with some kind of frozen conflict."
Putin will not stop until "he is fought to a standstill", former MI6 chief Alex Younger tells #TimesRadio.

5:14: The old interviewer (don't know who the Times Radio male interviewer's name) did, indeed, say Yugoslavia, which is a mistake. I’m a computer scientist but not a security expert, but I completely agree. This was so much better than most discussions on the topic. What a fantastically refreshing interview!, unsullied by any media sensationalism or emotively driven fact twisting, which always seems to be the norm for what they feed us these days. Everything made sense, the seemingly alarming (now perfectly explained) disclosure of much that is known about the Russian forces and their dodgy outdated and malfunctioning equipment. The reality of, previously assumed, impregnable cyber security based on sheer ignorance of such matters and the desperate need for eyes to be opened and caution to be instilled on all who deal in sensitive information and/or attend high level meetings where tech, including personal items, should never be trusted. There is so much reassurance in this for me, thank you, thank you!

You must be a fool. Check what Douglas Macgregor say about Ukraine and Russia.
Why can't we have someone like this as pm?
It’s a pity we don’t have people of the calibre of Sir Alex Younger running this world.
Thank you sir
"we dont do disinformation....we only tell the truth"....ha ha ha

What does "operationalising the truth" mean?
This was a very interesting interview. Thank you.
Excellent interview by Times Radio. Clear and complete answers, without the badgering and insinuation endemic to media in the United States. Good work!

Way impressed with Alex Younger! The UK is in good hands with people of his competence and integrity.
The BBC reported in 2003 that in retirement, Hewitt was granted the rank of major which was "in line with common army practice

Funny to hear him say 'we don't do disinformation'. What else could he say? He certainly looks like an honest guy - the most dangerous kind, but good for Britain for sure ;)

its being fought on Ukrainian soil in Ukrainian towns and Cities... the only people this ends badly for are the Ukrainian's even if the Russians pack up and leave tomorrow Ukraine routines topped the most corrupt country in Europe list has a a long standing problem With fascism that everybody's conveniently forgotten about and has a good half a trillions worth of Arms and military training air dropped on it this year alone.. what exactly do you think happens if the Russians just leave... you think all those militia fighters just hand back there weapons and go home?
As we approach Day of Remembrance, I can't feel anything less than pride, when I hear retired C. The worst malware on computers and phones is called Microsoft's One Drive. people have no idea what to do or how to get it out. Because what Windows does is copy absolutely everything that the user does on his desktop and stores it on his servers with the excuse of the "cloud", and it is enabled by default! most people don't need it and don't even know what it is. Gentlemen, that is having a private emoresa observing everything with total impunity and users are not asked if they even want it. It is the most massive espionage and invasion of privacy that exists. But no one talks about this!
