So how was that offense last year until Justin Started running for his professional career. Nobody is without fault... But if you don't have to take my word for it... Over the last tre two seasons the consensus of ex players and coaching personnel is the same... Why would you stop the number 1 running offense... Why are we running out of shotgun for short gains... Hes not wrong in accessing Fields short comings. He has to show he can see his receivers open and make quick reads and zip the ball in tight windows and layer passes over the defenders. If he can do that consistently, and lead the bears to more wins, no question he will become the franchise QB.

About nix is not even close to the best passer in this draft. He isn't even in the top 6. He is hitting a open pro WR in stride. That doesn't make you the best passer. Drake Maye snd Penix are the best passers. Nix has a average arm and struggles under pressure. He is a 3rd rd pick

Caleb Williams all day every day. Opportunities like this come along once a generation and, for the Bears, once a century. Can’t pass that up.

If I were Poles I'd wait until after the combine Daniels, Nix, and Penix are going to rise on the boards.Caleb Williams's decision to sit out of the Holiday bowl allowed first time starter Miller Moss to throw for a record 6 touchdowns in his first-time start. The decision brings into question William's efficiency, in light of Moss's success in the bowl game. When you evaluate Fields remember his ability to give you yardage numbers like having a second 100+ yard running back every game. If Poles can find a way to get both Marvin Harrison Jr and Olu Fashanu i will call him the Houdini of trading.

The closest comp for Caleb Williams is Justin Fields. The closest comp for JJ mcCarthy is Tyson Bagent. Why would you waste a draft choice on either of those guys when you have the originals? Stick with what you have a build your talent base.

The only reason why that trade with the Panthers look so good now is because the Panthers took the wrong QB. Had Stroud been setting rookie QB records and getting into the MVP conversation as a Panther, it would’ve been the Bears not looking good coming out of that trade.

Before this season started, there’s not a single 2024 mock draft that didn’t have the Cardinals picking 1st and 2nd with one of those picks coming from the Texans, and that makes sense because the Texans would’ve had the worst record had Lovie not gone out and beat a tanking Colts to end the season. I mean look at their roster, Nico Collins never cracked 750 yards in a season even in college, and he’s on pace for over 1400. Stroud outplayed Joe Burrow even without Collins because bench scrub Noah Brown caught 172 yards a week after he caught 153. That dude never even came close to 100 yards in his previous 5 seasons, Texans plug him in and he turned into Tyreek Hill before he got hurt. Then look at Tank Dell out producing all rookie WRs not named Nacua. Did anybody think Dell was better than JSN, Jordan Addison, Quentin Johnston, Zay Flowers, Rashee Rice, and Josh Downs at the draft? Most of these other guys are playing with good QBs too. It’s Stroud who’s cooking fine cuisine out of scraps and don’t think he can’t do the same with the Panthers.

Texans had a way worse record than the Panthers in 2023, and all of Stroud’s weapons were basically scrubs that nobody wanted. But CJs leading the league in passing yards and making all these scrubs around him look better than they are which is what an elite QB is suppose to do, now everybody thinks the Texans offense is loaded with weapons! 😂🤣😂 What he’s done with what he has to me is more impressive than what Mahomes did in his MVP season with Kelce, Hill, Hunt, etc. So I don’t buy the “Panthers would’ve been just as bad with Stroud…” They were 7-10 last year. Yeah they lost Moore, but like you said one man doesn’t make a team, right? Gaining an elite QB more than makes up for loosing an elite WR.

@@christr1ut87 by the way, I actually preferred Stroud over Young for the Bears if Poles took a QB at #1. That’s because I just didn’t think Young can take a beating in frigid Chicago. I was also super impressed by what Stroud did against Georgia whose defense was NFL caliber. But having said that I preferred trading the pick and keep Fields because I obviously didn’t think Stroud would be this good like everybody else, and I thought Fields and Stroud were comparable since they put up similar stats under the same program and throwing to the same guys.

Some folks don't want to hear this, but he's not lying. And remember, it's against his own interest to say Fields isn't looking like the guy since he was on the team that traded up for Fields.

Fields might or might be the guy, but people need to stop with he had three years ‘BS’. Yes he’s been on the Bears team for three years,but let’s break down those years. Year 1, started halfway into the season when it supposed to be a sit and learn year. Year 2, No O-line, team tanking, yet he suppose to be good and win games. Year 3, decent O-line, but injuries beginning of the year, QB gets hurt. With that said, IMO, the last 5 games will be telling. The O-line is pretty healthy, he has offensive weapons at WR, TE and running backs. If he fails to play well that’s on him. Whether the Bears win or not is on the team.

Obviously you would get rid of Fields after 2024 in that case. You could then look to sign a solid vet and also draft a QB in the 2025 draft. I think moving on from Fields in this offseason is a mistake. There is always a risk with these rookie QBs and there is a great opportunity to improve the roster at other positions in this draft. However, if they decide to move on from Fields then I will just have to trust that they are making the right move. 🤞

I would get some more ammo by trading down four or 8 spots and draft a wide-out and/or quarterback; LSU combo quarterback/receiver who has all the timing down, keeping the Bears in the game to improve with future high-end draft picks and better players and first round picks.

Draft Marvin Harrison Jr. Keep Fields. If he can't find DJ, or Marvin then he should just retire in shame. Get another big tight end, or big running back. All our RB's seem to be tiny. Tighten up the O-line g'damn it. Result ☺

I just don’t understand what is wrong with bears fans. I get it Justin fields is a great person. But he has this weird colt following for being less than average at qb. You have the opportunity to set up your future “generational” qb with one of the best starts they could ask for. And reset the contract window. I get it fields is a good guy, but we only progress if we have good qb play.

Look Josh Lucas might be a professional, but don’t forget that he gave up on Trubisky in 2018 before Trubisky even had a bad season, they did not build the office around Trubisky neither they try to fit Trubisky in the office that did not suit his ability, this guy helped draft fields and they try to stick him in the same offense. Then Fields had to try to perform his best with no weapons around him in the previous year. Feilds was performing earlier this year. I honestly don’t think he’s had a bad game since week three so I’m not giving up on fields.

@@user-xo1sf7xg8w trubisky went to the bills to sit and then to Steelers where they didn’t give him a fair chance because the city loved Kenny Pickett and an offense takes about 4 weeks before it hits it stride and after Trubisky was benched he played great against Tampa and won the game for the Steelers and played good against the panthers but played too aggressive against the ravens, Fields has been a good football player for most of the last two seasons people forget there was a month straight last year where he was the best player in football
