Fr, Taemin is water👌. Also reminds me of when Suju etc. describes Eunhyuk's dance style as 'lazy dancing' bc he looks so relaxed & unfazed by it. 🤣

Honestly I'm not into performers who overdo it in the facial department like it just looks goofy to me and most of the time takes me out if the performance when I get smirked at or eyebrow raised or whatever some do with their tounge onstage like I GET IT STOP 😭😂 I think Taemin has actually found the perfect balance for me like he is totally emerged in his performance and delivers the feelings he wants perfectly without the need for much "acting". Love it. Could watch him dance all day. Also for the Drip Drop performance that was like the last dance of his first dance heavy session of his very first concert like ofc he was tired. Taemin's choreographies are some of the hardest in kpop and he also has to sing. The first part of the concert was like 30 minutes long and that's like a really heavy workout.

I completely agree with you! Taemin doesn't need to emphasize heis expressions, he manages to be sexy, cute and convey exactly what he needs without being fake. The best kpop dancer because he can dance with every part of his body.

I always appreciate that the reactions feel real on your channel. Watching Taemin dance is such a pleasure to me, just makes me happy. I'm always amazed at how fluid but so controlled he is. Can't wait until he is back.

Taemin does have a specific facial expression when he performs. it's just that's his performer expression and his baseline. like the face he always wears on stage. it's subtle but off stage his expression is softer. if you guys have ever seen those fancams of him behind the scenes during a music stage recording where once the big cameras are off him it's like a ghost that was possessing his body just left him. those crack me up, it really is like he's in the moment; and the only thing that can snap him out of it is the performance ending

"Fluid but stiff" so basically he still maintains form? That might be what you were looking for lol I know with Winwin he's more rigid compared to other members, due to his background before kpop. Where his traditional dance was more focused on form than fluidity. If I remember correctly, of course That aside, the amount of confidence average people would need for a dance like Move is insane. Taemin is insane and he always finds ways to amaze me. And agreed, that moving slower is far more difficult than moving faster. My own background is really just marching band in high school, and whenever we would be moving slow, it was a struggle. So much more control is needed to maintain form and keep your feet in time perfectly. Lower notes were a struggle, depending on the instrument, so having low, slow notes was a bit of a pain as well lol

aah I love your videos but ESPECIALLY love your Taemin reactions!! ❤ thank you for showing him to so many people! he's just amazing and my ultimate bias for a reason! shout out to jake as well, really enjoy his reactions and he's really funny! would love to see him react to sexuality and criminal, especially 'the stage' performance, I feel like you can see more and different types of expressions from Taemin :)

Gawd, MOVE was such a massive hit for him, as we all know... 8:30 and he's totally correct here bc the number of regular people that tried to do this dance, esp on Korean variety shows bc it "looks" simple, they just ended up looking real silly lol

Dancers should NOT be critiquing other dancers. I really wish YT would ban this sort of videos. Saw an actual professional dancer who is an active dancer break it down and when he got to weaknesses he said, Taemin has no weaknesses and no one can ever top him. in KPOP. Again saying he is a legend. You guys keep laughing. To say you were underwhelmed over something Taemin did is bunk. He is the best dancer in KPOP. He has even been analyzed by a computer against other good dancers. Guess what, he came out number one. He is a consistent and clean dancer. As far as MOVE, why would you watch a practice and critique that? That's ridiculous. He won best dance performance award for that song. The song didn't win anything. Only choreographers should critique him. Ballet dancers and jazz dancers have different rules in dance. This is the beauty parameter for Idols in Korea. Thin. He is called the Michael Jackson of KPOP. He is probably a better dancer than you are and here you sit critiquing him. Pisses me off. He works out. Has developed muscles. Quit laughing. Sometimes the drops are in the choreography. Ask Ian, don't remember last name but he choreographed Danger and SM kept saying make it harder. Ian said he didn't even know if he could do it and Taemin just shrugged and did it. Danger is one of his hardest dances but he was awarded for his dance performance of MOVE. You have to see him performing it and not practicing. Not everyone agrees with what you are saying. People are floored when they see him perform this number and why he was awarded for this. Taemin has done this on TV live. Remember he is just practicing. Watch a real performance of this. What is wrong with you two. Why would you critique a practice session? SMH Not a troll but someone who majored in Music both song and dance. Really angry by this. Taemin comes into YT all the time and watches stuff. Do you know he couldn't complete Military because of depression and anxiety which he had before hand. He had to go into public service instead. People make shitty comments. One girl he knew committed suicide because of the constant comments, malicious or critiques by people like YOU. This isn't needed. Every one who knows anything concrete about him knows he is legendary. Even Ian said that. His choreographer from Japan came to Korea just to dance in a contest with him. Of course, they won. Be more respectful or close the channel. That's my opinion.

Yeah this is very dramatic. People are allowed to feel how they feel about any performer and probably had worse critiques as trainees or even as pros. Also there was so many positives here chill the hell out. If you can’t handle professional feedbacks on your favourite artists do not watch review channels lool

I think it's a really good callout about how engaged (or not) Taemin is when performing, and the comparison to Hyunjin is apt. I do think there's an element of: Taemin debuted 10 years prior to Stray Kids (Taemin also debuted at 14 and was a trainee at 11, while Hyunjin was 18 and became a trainee at 16). There are some parallels. Taemin couldn't sing when he debuted, to the point he had 0 lines in Shinee's debut track (now he sings amazingly). Hyunjin was scouted for his looks and had to learn to dance as a trainee. Hyunjin chose this path and very clearly wants to be there. Taemin probably is going through the motions in some ways. Taemin was literally raised to be a pop star, how much choice he had in that is debatable when you think about how young he was. Which is sad. I honestly didn't expect him to come back from the military (I thought he'd finish up after discharging) and I've been surprised he has. But at the same time, he doesn't really know anything else.

I think it’s unfair to compare Taemin’s live performance from his concert where he literally only have really short breaks, and as you said drip drop was like the last of the first few dance heavy songs he performed before getting a break, to another’s performance which is recorded in a studio where they most likely have a tad bit longer breaks than when you have a live a performance.

Lithe muscle has more power and is my preference. Like Bruce Lee.
