Formal Spatial Design in Architecture

There is an art of composing spaces that creates spatial and aesthetic relationships. This is the ‘art’ of architecture. We must look back to the history of architecture to see truly artful compositions of space.

I love your videos. I do concept art, and designing aesthetically exciting buildings is essential. It’s great to have videos like yours that lend more insight into an actual architect’s mind.

It was amazing how you were able to draw two dimensional spaces and three dimensional spaces from all those different angles. I have yet to reach that point.

Thank you so much for composing and sharing this - I have always been drawn to try to understand how people react to and experience landscapes and never had the vocabulary to describe this interest. Certainly, one element, especially for built landscapes, is geometric composition and I appreciated your point about how we experience these differently when we inhabit them vs view them. Do you teach? I would like to learn more!

Good luck. It is more time than money. It can take almost ten years to become an architect.
