This video helped so much and i tripled check and the answer is x^4+2x^3+x^2-12x+20, you had 14x but this really did help me out so much and I understand it so much better thank you

I am confused as to what happened to the imaginary i's. Usually you when they are multiplied together you get i^2, which equals -1. Here you just ignored them after foiling.

When you use (a-bi)(a+bi) you get a^2-(bi)^2 which equals a^2 +b^2 and the i’s go away. It is helpful to do it the long way until you get use to it. Hope this helps
