Forgotten tune for the flute | DRAMA | FULL MOVIE

Фильм және анимация

In the past, Filimonov was a talented, promising musician. The present is prosaic - he is the son-in-law of a “big man”, and nothing more. Once Filimonov had a heart attack - and this at less than forty years old! This unpleasant incident was the reason for meeting the wonderful nurse Lida. And a whirlwind romance began... But finding the courage and strength to radically change your established life is always difficult.

I do really enjoy watching Russian movies. There are great actors/actresses, humors, daily life, work life, street views, office environments to watch for the foreigners who wants to but hasn't have a chance to visit the country yet. My parents learnt Russian language at schools in the 60's

How many times have we faced crossroads that could change our entire lives, but our inner coward stood still and went with the status quo... This movie is a masterpiece

All these people wanted "democracy" as they understood it. Responsible authorities, which are constantly accountable to the people and are formed from the people, act in the interests of the common people.... Instead, they got CAPITALISM. In 5 years they will all become beggars. After the main job, they will go outside and sell old clothes on the cheap. Or they will go to a small backyard and dig potatoes in the mud there so as not to starve to death. There was no question of wasting time playing in an amateur theater anymore. All the energy and free time were spent on survival. In the time shown in this film, people are living out their last bright carefree days.

You are absolutely right. Ryazanov was quite successful, critically acclaimed and loved. So significant that after the socialist system fell he fell as an artist himself. Today we come to understand what we lost.

@@Tito_michi Interestingly, all Soviet directors (especially dissidents) outlive the Soviet era for decades. And after the fall of the USSR, they did not create anything worthy of attention. Although they had money, opportunities and connections. Ryazanov and Mark Zakharov are the most striking examples of this.

But as with the movie "Courier" also shows, the country was plagued by corruption, nepotism and inequality, social mobility was way harder than o capitalism, the country would fall sooner or later. I wouldn't say the USSR failed, but people failed with the USSR... Capitalism is not the problem, human greed and selfishness are.
