Not bad at all, the mention of grandpa brought a tear to my eye I wish I could have spent more time with mine. The kindest loving person who would just smile at me and we did spend time together most summers growing up, taught me how to tie my shoes and shave that covers some years. You certainly have a great family my pops is gone so is mom and I just don't have the same interest in life that I once had, not so many years ago. Been through a grip of life changes I'm 8n my 60's, still got a bucket list and some foals I want to occomplish so haven't given up yet. Glad to find your tube man it's cool.

So cool to finally meet your Dad! He is about my age. I had a 1947 CJ2A Jeep back in the early 1970's that I kind of restored, well, got running and drove around for a while. This video is quite interesting to me. Brings back lots of early Jeep memories! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a great year ahead.

Hey Mortske & Duff. That was an outstanding video. Really cool to see you and your dad work together. Lost my dad when I was 19. I am a 1955 vintage by the way. Guess that makes me 2 years older than your dad. That's quite a lineage you have when it comes to hotrods and mechanical stuff in general. I met a guy that owned a Conoco station near where I lived. I was around 13. His name was Donovan Crandall. He was an ace when it came to anything automotive and fabricating. I loved shadowing him. He taught me the trade hands on making mistakes as I learned. By age 14 I was rebuilding engines. My first rebuild was a Ford 272 Y-block. Hand cutting ring ridges and grinding valves and seats and knurling the guides. I even learned how to file down knurled pistons to fit. I've probably changed hundreds of points & condenser sets in my career. I still have the AC Delco dwell meter Don gave me in 1970. Merry Christmas to you and Duff. Thanks.

Great video on the Jeepster. Also working on it with your dad, these are times you will remember. When using the Ultrasonic cleaner you can put your small parts in a plastic wide mouth jar with cleaning solution and submerge it in the basket. The parts will get cleaned and they will stay contained in the jar.

I started selling firewood to make some extra cash during the winter months so my stump was sacrificed for the greater good. Selling firewood is how I plan on buying vehicles like you do. I'm fortunate to live in an area where I can take my modified 1988 Bolens garden tractor behind my house to cut deadfalls. Last year I cleared enough profit to buy my first pro 60cc saw. I bought a Husqvarna 562XP. Now I can cut larger trunks instead of leaving them in the woods. I was going to buy my first project car this winter but my wife got Covid and we had to rely on the extra income from firewood sales to get us through Christmas. I don't mind being patient. I live in Michigan so vehicles here are in a similar condition as the ones you find there. That makes them cheaper 😁 I appreciate all of the work you put into sharing your projects with us. It motives me and I learn a lot. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

@39:04 It's 0230 and here I am just quietly watching a guy doing shade tree mechanic work... and you said something about "so it doesn't electrocute me "... and there's that bare connection leading back to a 40,000+ volt coil... I just spent the last five minutes alternately laughing so hard I couldn't breathe, getting yelled at by my wife of over 20 years for startling her so badly, and gasping out apologies and explanations between wheezing laughter. I'm hoarse from laughing so hard!!!! That "He-Man" clip just keeps setting me off again!
