Hey guys, my name is Jesus Perez and I’m a beginner bladesmith and very novice blacksmith. I got unto bladesmithing from watching Forged in Fire on tv as well as tons of KZread. Forging is a great way to learn new skills and develop skills in the diy world as well as building confidence to fabricate your own handmade tools for everyday use. Nice job. Forging to finish is a special talent for sure. I get too impatient and shoot to the grinder too quick. Lol

It takes a lot of playing around with it. Im still not there as much as i would like. My spine and edges arent as smooth as i would like. I want to do them like Niel Kamimura does them.
Nice to see another Florida smith forging in shorts because it’s hot, it’s humid and why not 😂

great job JP its not easy to forge to shape im working on getting better i took a class with Matt Parkinson at Dragons Breath Forge here in CT we started with 1-1/4 "x 1/4"x 6 inch 1080 and made a 7inch chef hidden tang yours is looking good Mark 👍👍✌

@@JPsBladeworks it's too hot here but I'm slowly cranking out some knives and a few videos in the process. I'm just terrible at editing
I'm still banging out a Lil piece here and there. Work and homeowner BS wrecks hobbies!!!😂

Ill try it sooner than later. What do you use to grind in the bolster area. I see many have special platens for that
