Forging A Straight Peen Blacksmith Hammer For Bladesmithing, Knifemaking, Old World, Step By Step

Today I'm forging a less common hammer design: the straight peen. This design has many applications, and allows the blacksmith to aggressively draw out stock.

Come guys whoever disliked this video please do yourself a favor and shut up. If you dont like the way he did the forging then you can go watch some one that does your way, he doesn't have to go through the time and effort to edit and upload these videos he does because he want to try and show us what he does and maybe if you watched closely then you would learn something. This is all directed towards the one dislike and your videos are great even if it's not the way I do it, keep it up man.

I’ve been waiting on a 2.5lb rounding hammer to come up cause I’m definitely gonna snatch it up as soon as you post it. I already cleared it with the boss lady.

Preventive security measures are for newbies. Improbable improvised bandaids are for pros. Nice hammer 😍

I know the process of putting on a new handle is mind numbingly agonizingly slow when done. But seeing it on camera makes me want to beat my head against the wall to make it go faster. I've been screaming at my phone every now and again to make it go faster.

Hey buddy have you ever thought of making a Ribbon Burner for your forge ?? I was going through so much Propane it was outrageous so I made my first one and what a difference big savings in propane ... I run my 2 forges at 3 to 4 PSI compared to the 15 to 20 PSI .. you really should check them out..
