as someone that actually uses a stick to walk, my question is - how stable is it as an actual walking stick? does it wobble at the joint? Can you put weight on this?

Thats a pretty good question, but lets say that you have to fight using it, while using it wouldnt you wobble, granted if you were faking it, it wouldnt be a problem, but what if you needed it?

Well that depends is it Inside it's saya or is it not Let's go with outside If you were to put your whole body weight It would cause it to bend but if it's inside it won't bend
Do you sell it too??

Beautiful work!
Managing to make that kind of sword seems difficult already, making it from rusted material seems nigh impossible, yet it always baffles me when someone manages to do it because of the work of art it becomes. This right here is gold sir, nice work!

Bro props to you. This is relaxing and funny with your subtle jokes without even talking. 👌👍
Great video! Would love to have one you made. So professional! So beautiful!
I collect things like what you have crafted, but I am simply not confident enough to try such an incredible task as to construct such a thing. I love hand crafted, Italian stilletos (read switchblades) and shuriken as well, but unfortunately the law thinks these things are bad (forget the guns on the streets...alot of drive by sword canings I guess??) and so I just don't carry them out of the house..I passed on a chance to purchase a very nice, and exceptionally rare sword umbrella too and I still regret that..but that is a beautiful and simple piece!! You are a true craftsman and metal worker and it was all done with love and pride! Bravo!

It's beautiful. I wish I could make one like that.
Quenched and backed off in a sand box. My hat is off to you sir. Well done!!! I see an awful lot of nicely quenched crispy hard swords that I’m sure would produce really lethal flying chunks of metal when they snap off. Probably very fortunate that few or none will see any action.

The Japanese forging influence is nice. Really nailed the differential heat perfect arch no warping. I'd have like to see slot screws used so it wouldn't be dated so easily. Really nice work.

Very useful for disabled/ vulnerable people for their own protection, but they need to be physically able to use it when the need arises, or else it can be snatched by attacker and used back upon them instead. But it’d be a perfect hiking tool for the wilds. I will definitely try to make one myself not for use but for the Beaty of it. Perfect creation!
I find you videos so relaxing. Thank you
Great!!!
Ótima Espada, parabéns pelo Vídeo! Sucesso! 💪❤️🫂
Looks awesome but there's one HUGE mistake in this video - never quench spring steel in water, it makes it brittle. You quench spring steel in 60C oil. That's why you don't see spring steel swords with a hamon, it just can't happen.

I learned this in my first experience blacksmithing, my mentor did knives primarily and also said to make sure it's an older spring if it comes from a truck because it's going to be higher carbon content 80-90 as newer ones typically are 75 at best.
Great craftsmanship , a joy to watch.
