    I've been making knives for nearly 11 years now. I've struggled multiple times with ill fitting pins. What I've done is the past is used my belt grinder to slim them down a bit to fit, but it almost always wasn't perfect. I about slapped myself in the face when I saw your method of using a hand drill. 🤦‍♂ Thanks for sharing that little tidbit! Thank you for sharing your process. You have a new subscriber in me. I'd love your feed back on my own channel if you've the time. Great work, keep it up and I look forward to seeing more in the future!

    How does the modern technology being used here affect the final product if at all?

  • @MartinHuber_Knives

    @MartinHuber_Knives

    2 ай бұрын

    Modern technology just helps you to make the knife faster and easier. Sure could do something like this with a handhammer, coal forge and some files. But it would take AGES. And the one important thing about modern technology is the Heat-treatment. Percise temperature, holdtime and tempering is what makes the knife a working mashine! :)
